Job Title: General Maintenance Worker
Work Location: Marine Corps Base – Camp Blaz, Guam
Labor Category: Non-Exempt / CBA
Clearance Level: Public Trust
Travel Requirement: Up to 10%
Pay Rate: $20.71/hour
Health & Welfare: $5.46/hour up to 40hrs per week
Scope of Work:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide base operations support through the performance of general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings.
Responsibilities:
- Performs general maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and HVAC systems across basic trades, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.
- Duties include repairing or replacing fixtures (sinks, toilets, lighting, switches), patching walls, painting, installing doors/locks, replacing windows, and maintaining floors and structures.
- Conducts general maintenance on equipment, machinery, and HVAC units; assists with Real Property Inventory.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and 1–2 years of related experience.
- Strong English communication skills with excellent customer service and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with strong attention to detail.
- Must be eligible to access government worksites, and pass required background and drug/alcohol screenings; flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
- Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around various hazards with appropriate PPE.
US Pay Range
$20.71 - $20.71 USD
