About the Sales Operations Team
The Sales Operations team is part of the Commercial Operations group, drives Thumbtack’s growth through the Sales and Success teams. They are a tight-knit group charged with helping to drive sales and success revenue for our pros and customers in a two-sided marketplace. They provide actionable insights to the sales and success teams and leadership, drive efficiencies in workflows and processes, and facilitate a smooth process for our pros and customers to help them be successful on our platform. About the Role
As a Sales Operations analyst, you’ll be a “super generalist” who drives impactful projects, initiatives, and programs across Thumbtack within our Sales and Success team. You’re a master problem solver who thrives in ambiguity, bringing structure and scalability to fast-growing projects. With strong influence and empathy, you’ll collaborate with teams across Product, Marketing, GTM, Finance, and Operations to achieve successful outcomes for our customers and pros.
In this role, you’ll lead customer success and pro success operations; an exciting, visible opportunity that is heavily cross-functional, setting you at the heart of Thumbtack’s core users on both our pro and customer side of the business.
What you'll do
- Operational Excellence: Own and improve success programs to drive revenue and growth, incubating new ideas and enabling process improvements across our mid-funnel for pros and customers.
- Program Leadership: Partnering with data science, finance, legal and Success leadership to ensure its success and ROI.
- Strategic Prioritization: Identify and prioritize initiatives with the highest impact; stay agile and adjust as priorities shift.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to enhance pro and customer experiences and unlock growth.
- Playbook Development: Contribute to building and refining the playbook for Success operations at Thumbtack.
In order to be successful, you must bring
- Bachelor's degree -- preferably in accounting, finance, or business-related field
- 2-4 years of experience in Customer Success Operations, Business Analysis, or a related field supporting Success team(s)
- Track record of instituting and improving success processes that have led to lasting, measurable impact.
- Expertise in end-to-end analysis, including business case development and financial modeling.
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn with demonstrated success in high-growth technology or top-tier consulting companies
- Strong background in implementing and managing a sales tool stack (e.g. CRM, ABM, Contact Scoring, Lead Gen, email outreach, sales engagement)
- Portfolio of projects focused on performance metrics and sales pipeline efficiency
