THUNDER | JOB DESCRIPTION
Role: Oracle Developer (Salesforce Data Cloud Integration – Contract)
Duration: 6 weeks ( 15–20 hours/week)
Start Date: Targeting mid-August
Location: Offshore or nearshore preferred (able to collaborate across U.S. time zones)
Job Summary:
Thunder is seeking an experienced Oracle Developer to support a recently completed Salesforce Data Cloud implementation. Our client is now focused on remediating and restructuring their source data across multiple Oracle Cloud environments to improve data integrity and ensure a better downstream experience in Salesforce.
This is a contract role working in close partnership with our Salesforce Data Cloud Solution Architect. While architectural direction will be provided, we’re looking for someone who can independently own and execute the Oracle-side data development and cleansing work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and restructure source data across multiple Oracle Cloud systems.
- Implement fixes to data structures that support Salesforce Data Cloud’s segmentation and ingestion needs.
- Write, test, and optimize SQL and PL/SQL procedures, packages, and scripts.
- Improve data quality, normalization, and consistency across source systems.
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies and integrity issues upstream.
- Collaborate regularly with Thunder’s project team and client stakeholders across time zones.
Qualifications:
- 5-7+ years of experience developing Oracle Cloud database technologies (SQL, PL/SQL, schema design, and optimization).
- Demonstrated success in data remediation, quality improvement, and performance tuning.
- Experience working with large datasets and complex relational models.
- Ability to work independently while taking direction from a Salesforce Data Cloud architect.
- Comfort working with global teams across varying time zones; experience in a distributed delivery model is a must.
- Clear and proactive communication, both written and verbal.
- Experience supporting or integrating with Salesforce, particularly Salesforce Data Cloud.
- Familiarity with data pipelines, API-based integrations, or middleware between Oracle and Salesforce.
- Experience in a consulting or client-facing environment.
- Flexibility in scheduling and proactive communication for collaboration with a global team and varying time zones.
**Please note: This role is currently structured as a contract opportunity and not a full-time employee position. As such, it does not include Thunder’s full-time benefits (such as health coverage, PTO, or retirement plans). You’ll be engaged as an independent contractor and responsible for managing your own taxes, insurance, and availability. We encourage you to bring any questions about the contractor terms to your Talent Screen.
