About the role:
We’re looking for an inspirational clinical leader (physician, nurse practitioner or physician assistant) passionate about women’s primary care, mental health and the integration of high quality psychiatric care into primary care to manage the people and processes that make Tia’s psychiatry offering exceptional. As the manager of psychiatry + mental health care, you will lead the psychiatry clinical team creating a strong and effective culture, building out tools and resources to scale the clinical offerings, partner with primary care and gynecology leaders to better integrate psychiatry care into Tia’s care model and partner with strategy, operational and clinical leaders to build clinically and operational sound protocols for the psychiatry and primary care teams. You will continue to provide patient care at Tia, and will also develop your leadership and operational skills as you lead the execution and expansion of our psychiatry offering at Tia. You will be an integral part of the Tia clinical leadership team.

You will continue to manage a panel of patients virtually 70-80% of the time
What will you be working on?
- At the highest level the Manager of Psychiatry Care is responsible for ensuring the psychiatry providers who work at Tia are delivering exceptional clinical care that delivers on Tia’s commitment to transform healthcare for women.
- Managing a team of psychiatry providers (MD/DO, NPs and PAs) ensuring that the providers on your team meet our clinical standards
- This includes recruitment and onboarding of a high quality psychiatry team, professional development, coaching and leadership development
- Owning performance management process and other HR function for the psychiatry team
- Working with (and managing) our collaborating psychiatrist(s) to ensure the NP/PA team has a pathway to collaborate on clinical cases and that quality standards are met
- Partnering with clinical operation partners to ensure the psych program is running effectively and can scale - this includes regularly evaluating our processes related to intakes, non-patient facing time, quality assurance and clinical effectiveness
- Serve as a strong thought partner to clinical, operational and strategy leaders around what clinical protocols are necessary for delivering high quality psychiatry care, executing those protocols when appropriate and holding the team accountable to upholding the practices outlined.
- Actively participate in discussions around how we can enhance our psychiatry offerings in service of Tia’s care model - and motivate the psych team to expand their scope as appropriate.
- Partner with primary care + gynecology leaders around mental health capacity building in the primary care space.
- Direct patient care for Tia members, applying your clinical expertise to psychiatry - this role is designed to be 70-80% patient care and 20-30% administrative management time to start, with this balance adjusting overtime.

Skills and assets you’ll bring to Tia:
- Board certified in Psychiatry or nationally certified as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with either a certification in psychiatry or clinical experience that demonstrates strong clinical capabilities.
- Completed an accredited residency program or completed an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with a national certification
- 3+ years of clinical experience
- Minimum of 1 year managing a team of clinicians or leading others in a healthcare setting
- Excellent and empathic communicator that is skilled at motivating employees and fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication that promotes employee retention and high quality patient care
- State licensure in the state of New York, California or Arizona and willingness to obtain licensure + credentialing in the other market(s) as required
- Deep clinical expertise in providing psychiatric care, ideally with a blend of in clinic + virtual experience
- Authorized to work in the US
