About the team
You will be joining a newly established product area called Experience Foundations, focused on evolving our global platform's end-to-end user experiences to drive greater value and differentiation. As one of the first senior product leaders in this critical area, we are seeking an exceptional Head of Product to elevate user experiences and lead the future of our business and finance platform.
As a Head of Product you'll be
- Owning multiple product domain(s) from conception to implementation and beyond. You are responsible for driving the strategy, vision, and roadmap through effective prioritisation and mastery of your domain(s), working closely with the SVP of Product.
- Establishing new customer-facing and internal platform products, as this is a newly formed group. This will range from greenfield investments to rethinking existing solutions to drive strategic goals, user value, and business impact.
- Playing a global role by building for our growing international user base (currently within the UK, India, and Germany) across both mobile and web.
- Part of the foundational platform team driving the overall user and product experience across Tide.
- Working within an interdisciplinary role: you will work with Design, Engineering, Analyst, and Product Marketing, as well as other product groups across Tide, to deliver a world-class product.
- Driving product discovery together with the product triad (engineering and design) and rapidly building prototypes by using qualitative and quantitative data to operationalize them.
- Being seen as a key leader within the experience foundations group, confidently and effectively communicating on strategic as well as tactical topics across the business.
- Evangelising the voice of the customer and your product area, inspiring your team and stakeholders to align with your product vision.
- Managing other product managers and leading team members as we scale and grow this foundational team.
- Leading your team to deliver on ambitious goals and product outcomes; confidently applying continuous feedback frameworks and translating user value into business outcomes.
- Driving transformation from the front in terms of agile ways of working, organisational, and product development.
What we are looking for
This role is for you if you are a product leader with a deep understanding of user-first product development, have a hypothesis and data-driven mindset, love everything about incremental discovery and delivery, are outcome-focused, and can confidently transform and lead cross-functional teams to success!
- You have at least 10 years of experience within product management with deep exposure to the full product development lifecycle, especially iterative product discovery.
- You are a strategic thinker and a pragmatic executioner with a proven track record of driving product innovation and achieving results.
- You still enjoy getting involved in hands-on product management; this is a new team, so we are still scaling.
- You love to and effectively coach teams and individuals to success, whether through hands-on engagement, showcasing what good looks like, or servant leadership. You have the battle scars that enable you to naturally guide and inspire others.
- You easily identify opportunities for improvement (whether it be new processes, people investments, tooling, etc.) and drive the required changes with impact and agility.
- You enjoy and have mastered navigating ambiguous and greenfield areas; identifying the incremental steps to progress, clarity on key milestones, and making timely adaptations to plans.
- You have perfected how to adapt your communication style to resonate at all levels, including senior leadership. You are an excellent communicator and storyteller in both spoken and written English.
- Outcome-focused, you are excited by driving tangible impact for both users and the business and can confidently pivot to ensure this.
- User-obsessed, you navigate how to build exceptional end-to-end experiences (you care about great UX and have an eye for the details) that resonate with consumers with differing needs.
- You can define the right metrics and evaluate the nuances of both quantitative and qualitative data to understand what to do next.
- You understand the importance of good discovery and have perfected the craft; confidently driving incremental (in)validation within the problem and solution space.
- You excel at simplifying and cutting through complexity and ambiguity, passionate about solving problems and finding innovative solutions.
- Ideally, you have past experience working within platform or foundational product teams and understand the mechanics of scaling your products across organisations.
- You excel at navigating across multiple teams and collaborating on complex initiatives.
- You are empathetic and an active listener.
- Bonus if you have some experience working in startups or scale-ups, building global products, and/or FinTech.
- Bonus if you have technical experience or education.
