About the role:
As a Head of Workplace Technology you’ll be:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement a cloud-native, SaaS-first strategy to improve workplace technology and operational efficiency.
- Drive the adoption of Zero Trust security principles to protect company data and systems.
- Utilise configuration as code to optimise IT infrastructure management and deployment.
- Implement DevOps practices and automated pipelines to streamline operations and support rapid innovation.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into effective IT solutions that enable staff to work efficiently.
- Manage the workplace technology budget, focusing on cost-effective solutions and value-driven investments.
- Manage IT support functions through the Head of IT Support, ensuring high-quality service and swift issue resolution.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a technology-driven environment, preferably in fintech or financial services.
- Comfortable getting their hands dirty with some Python/Go/whatever it takes to get the job done
- Strong technical background with expertise in cloud-native solutions, SaaS platforms, and IT infrastructure management.
- Experience with modern IT practices, including configuration as code and Zero Trust security models.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team, drive technology strategy, and manage IT support functions effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on improving operational efficiency and enhancing customer outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
