ABOUT TIDE

At Tide, we are building a business management  platform designed to save small businesses time and money. We provide our members with business accounts and related banking services, but also a comprehensive set of connected administrative solutions from invoicing to accounting.

Launched in 2017, Tide is now used by over 1 million small businesses across the world and is available to UK, Indian and German SMEs. Headquartered in central London, with offices in Sofia, Hyderabad, Delhi, Berlin and Belgrade, Tide employs over 2,000 employees.

Tide is rapidly growing, expanding into new products and markets and always looking for passionate and driven people. Join us in our mission to empower small businesses and help them save time and money.

ABOUT THE TEAM:

You will be joining the Member Accession Marketing (MAM) Business Area. Our mission is to attract small businesses to Tide, convert them efficiently through best-in-class onboarding experiences, and guide them toward adopting additional products that deliver value.

The role is for the Post-Onboarding Vertical where we focus on optimizing the  journey in the first 30 days after a business joins Tide—ensuring that each member starts their journey with the right product experience, tailored to their specific business needs. Our goal is to drive product adoption and increase lifetime value (LTV) by identifying the next best product for every type of business we onboard.

ABOUT THE CHALLENGE:

The first 30 days of a member’s experience are critical to long-term engagement. In this role, your key challenge will be to define what the ideal post-onboarding experience looks like for new members, across different business types.

Your vertical will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and segmenting businesses based on their context and needs.
  • Determining the next best product (NBP) for each segment.
  • Designing journeys that maximize adoption, retention, and LTV.
  • Collaborating with data, marketing, product, and engineering to create and scale smart, automated onboarding experiences.
  • Validating hypotheses and continuously optimizing based on behavioural insights.

This is a unique opportunity to own a greenfield domain and shape a product experience that has massive revenue and engagement upside.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Lead Product Manager you will:

  • Drive key product domains from conception to implementation and beyond.
  • Own the strategy, vision, and roadmap for your area through effective prioritization and deep expertise, while collaborating closely with the Head of Product and leadership team.
  • Contribute to the development of new customer-facing and internal platform products. Work on initiatives ranging from greenfield concepts to refining existing solutions to achieve user value, strategic goals, and measurable business impact.
  • Design solutions with a global mindset, considering the needs of an international user base (e.g. UK, India, and Germany) across mobile and web platforms.
  • Collaborate with the foundational platform team to improve overall user and product experiences, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and priorities.
  • Act as a cross-functional contributor: partner with Design, Engineering, Data Analysts, Product Marketing, and other product teams to deliver exceptional outcomes.
  • Drive product discovery efforts, working with Engineering and Design to identify opportunities, test concepts, and operationalise prototypes using both qualitative and quantitative insights.
  • Act as a strong advocate for your product area by effectively communicating strategy and updates to teams and stakeholders across the business.
  • Evangelise the voice of the customer to inspire teams and align stakeholders with the product vision, ensuring customer needs are at the core of decision-making.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior product managers or team members, contributing to their growth and development as the team scales.
  • Champion agile practices and contributing to improvements in product development processes and team collaboration.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

This role is for you if you’re a seasoned product professional with a deep understanding of user-first product development, a hypothesis- and data-driven mindset, and a passion for iterative discovery and delivery.

  • You have 5+ years of experience in product management, with hands-on involvement throughout the full product development lifecycle, particularly in iterative product discovery and delivery.
  • You are both strategic and execution-focused, with a proven ability to drive product improvements and deliver measurable results.
  • You enjoy hands-on product management and are excited to contribute to a team that’s scaling, bringing your expertise to build great products.
  • You naturally spot opportunities for improvement in processes, tools, or team workflows and can drive impactful changes with agility.
  • You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity and can break down greenfield areas into clear steps, milestones, and actionable plans while remaining flexible to adapt as needed.
  • You are an excellent communicator, able to tailor your messaging to resonate across all levels, including senior leadership, and you are a compelling storyteller in both written and spoken English.
  • You are outcome-driven, focused on creating value for both users and the business, and can confidently pivot strategies to maintain alignment with goals.
  • You are passionate about delivering exceptional user experiences, paying close attention to UX details and ensuring end-to-end solutions meet diverse consumer needs.
  • You can define and track key metrics, combining qualitative and quantitative data to guide decisions and prioritize effectively.
  • You excel in product discovery, confidently driving validation and iteration within both the problem and solution space.
  • You are adept at simplifying complexity, finding innovative solutions to challenging problems and cutting through ambiguity with ease.
  • Ideally, you have experience working on platform or foundational products, and you understand how to scale products across teams and organizations.
  • Bonus: You have experience in startups, scale-ups, global products, or FinTech.
  • Bonus: You bring technical experience or education that enables you to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
