ABOUT THE TEAM:

The Member Accession Marketing team is at the heart of Tide’s success. We are a data-driven and results-oriented team responsible for acquiring new customers across all channels and products. We are passionate about innovation, experimentation, and finding new and creative ways to grow our business.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Director of Growth to lead our UK customer acquisition efforts and help drive the next phase of Tide’s growth. Reporting to VP of Accession Marketing, you will be responsible for acquisition growth across all marketing channels, working closely with Product, Data, and Onboarding (KYC) teams to ensure seamless member journeys from first touchpoint through onboarding and activation. This is a key leadership role with significant impact on Tide’s future success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a data-driven growth strategy to drive customer acquisition across all marketing channels and products
  • Manage and optimize a multi-million-pound marketing budget, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth (CPA, LTV, payback balance)
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing growth marketing team across paid search, social, display, affiliates, and emerging channels
  • Collaborate closely with Product, KYC, and Onboarding teams to troubleshoot bottlenecks, improve onboarding funnels, and drive higher activation rates
  • Support the Product team in shaping propositions, features, and market perception to maximize acquisition and retention impact
  • Identify and evaluate new growth opportunities across channels, audiences, and products
  • Use data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement; continually test and experiment to accelerate acquisition performance
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices, implementing innovative approaches to acquisition growth
  • Work cross-functionally with senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment of marketing goals with Tide’s broader business objectives

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 10+ years of experience in growth or performance marketing roles, with a proven track record of delivering acquisition growth at scale
  • Previous experience in fast-growing scaleups; within the Tech or FinTech sector (preferred, but not required)
  • Highly data-driven and analytical, with hands-on expertise in using data and experimentation to drive business outcomes
  • Strong leadership skills with experience building and managing high-performing teams
  • A self-starter with high urgency, resilience, and a bias for execution
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage effectively with cross-functional teams and C-level stakeholders
  • Experience in scaling mature markets and expertise in marketing effectiveness and channel optimization
  • Comfort managing large budgets and making trade-offs between growth, efficiency, and sustainability
  • Passion for delivering value to SMEs and a strong belief in Tide’s mission
