ABOUT THE TEAM 

The People Partnering team at Tide plays a pivotal role in driving business success by acting as strategic advisors and coaches to leaders at all levels. We provide expert guidance on organisational design, talent development, employee relations, and engagement, ensuring a positive and high-performance culture. Embedded within the business, we use data-driven insights to shape policies, pre-empt workforce challenges, and lead high-impact initiatives that enable Tideans to do work they love. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced and highly strategic HR professional to take on a dual role, serving as a Lead People Partner for our UK/Europe region while simultaneously acting as the HR Country Lead across our European operating countries.

You will act as a strategic advisor to some of our most senior leaders, driving organisational effectiveness, talent development, and culture, while ensuring the business maintains rigorous compliance with labour law across multiple jurisdictions. You will be instrumental in enabling Tide’s growth journey, building capability in our People Partnering team, owning our country-level policies. 

Strategic People Partnering & Leadership

  • Strategic Advisor: Serve as a trusted strategic partner to several VP/SVP leaders and their leadership teams (potentially including a customer operations client group), providing expert guidance on organisational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and performance management.
  • Team Coaching & Development: Coach and mentor the People Partnering team for the UK/Europe region, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and professional growth through knowledge sharing and best practice adoption.
  • Driving Engagement: Partner with leaders and managers to continuously improve employee engagement and satisfaction, including owning and managing the end-to-end bi-annual employee engagement survey process and action tracking.
  • Talent & Culture: Develop and implement plans for talent development and retention. Influence effective change management and serve as an ambassador for all DEI initiatives, ensuring diversity and inclusion are at the forefront of all people discussions.

Country-Level Employee Relations (ER) & Compliance

  • Project Leadership: Lead ER workstreams for new entity launches, ensuring readiness on policy, compliance, and consultation requirements, including the setup and oversight of works councils where needed.
  • Policy Ownership: Develop, maintain, and update all country-specific ER policies, processes, templates, and guidance materials in line with changing legislation and best practice, including preparing for new entity launches.
  • Legal Monitoring & Compliance: Proactively monitor and communicate employment law developments across all European operating countries. Partner with Legal and Risk & Compliance to ensure we have appropriate programs for human rights, labour rights, and modern slavery.
  • Capability Building: Identify knowledge gaps in the People Partner team regarding ER and design and deliver (or source) training on high-impact ER topics, including consultation processes and works council engagement.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Experience & Knowledge

  • 8–10+ years of progressive HR experience, with a strong Employee Relations focus/specialism along with broad generalist experience.
  • Proven track record of direct partnership with senior leaders and experience leading HR for a client group, ideally in a sales & marketing or similar fast-paced environment.
  • Expert understanding of employment law and consultation frameworks across Germany
  • Strong understanding / awareness of employment law and consultation frameworks across other European jurisdictions, particularly France. 
  • Program management experience in policy/process development and managing compliance workstreams for new market entry.

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional judgement & critical thinking with the ability to interpret legal advice into practical, commercial, and business-oriented guidance.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal Skills, with proven ability to influence without direct authority across senior and cross-functional audiences.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to align HR strategies with core business goals.
  • Excellent written communication skills—able to produce clear, succinct policy documents and training materials.
  • Analytical mindset to spot trends in ER data and make proactive, data-driven recommendations.
  • Calm and composed under pressure, with the ability to manage the most sensitive issues with absolute discretion.
