ABOUT THE ROLE: 

As Director of Product you will:

• Make high-quality decisions about product strategy & execution, translating strategy into impact-driven roadmaps.
• Own and drive commercial outcomes for the product; set goals, deliver KPIs, and maintain internal/external relationships.
• Lead and work closely with a cross-functional team and stakeholders to set priorities, create a roadmap, and ship products with high velocity that deliver value to our Members
• Define goals and measure performance to evaluate and understand product value
• Driving product discovery together with the product triad (engineering and design) and rapidly building prototypes by using qualitative and quantitative data to operationalise them.
• Playing a global role by building for our growing international user base in the UK, India, Germany and France, across both mobile and web.
• Build alignment on priorities, plans and progress in your team, across other product teams, with stakeholders and the Leadership team. Confidently and effectively communicating on strategic as well as tactical topics across the business.
• Inspire and influence others and yourself to think differently, solve problems, seize opportunities and be passionate about working towards the mission
• Leading your team to deliver on ambitious goals and product outcomes; confidently applying continuous feedback frameworks and translating user value into business outcomes.
• Driving transformation from the front in terms of agile ways of working, organisational, and product development.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We’re looking for an exceptional Product Leader to join admin services that is building world class accounting & tax product experiences that are core to our business management platform, and will truly benefit micro, small & medium businesses around the world.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A proven track record of at least 10+ years in product management with 3+ in leadership roles
• Domain knowledge desired in accounting & tax products or closely related field (e.g. FinTech / SaaS). We value aptitude over experience, but we’re looking for a track-record of product leadership and impact.
• Commercially-minded, strategic and analytical approach with the ability to effectively make business impact via thoughtful product strategy and delivery at pace. 
• Will also bring a hands-on approach, be close to the details and execution, understanding how to strike a balance.
• Experience leading and seamlessly collaborating in cross-functional teams to drive successful product launches, continuous improvements, and growth.
• You are an excellent communicator and storyteller, who knows how to effectively manage stakeholders, especially in relation to decision-making, plans, progress, achievements and challenges.
• You love to and effectively coach teams and individuals to success, whether through hands-on engagement, showcasing what good looks like, or servant leadership. You have the battle scars that enable you to naturally guide and inspire others.
• You easily identify opportunities for improvement (whether it be new processes, people investments, tooling, etc.) and drive the required changes with impact and agility.
• Outcome-focused, you are excited by driving tangible impact for both users and the business and can confidently pivot to ensure this.
• User-obsessed, you navigate how to build exceptional end-to-end experiences (you care about great UX and have an eye for the details) that resonate with consumers with differing needs.
• You can define the right metrics and evaluate the nuances of both quantitative and qualitative data to understand what to do next.
• You understand the importance of good discovery and have perfected the craft; confidently driving incremental (in)validation within the problem and solution space.
• You easily identify opportunities for improvement (whether it be new processes, people investments, tooling, etc.) and drive the required changes with impact and agility.
• You excel at simplifying and cutting through complexity and ambiguity, passionate about solving problems and finding innovative solutions.
