Make a Difference. Build Careers.
The best careers aren't just about hitting goals—they're about helping people achieve theirs. If you enjoy building relationships, guiding others through important decisions, and celebrating life-changing successes, you'll find purpose in this role.
At Tidewater Tech, our Admissions Representatives serve as trusted advisors to prospective students exploring careers in the skilled trades. Every conversation is an opportunity to help someone discover a new path through training in Automotive Technology, HVAC, or Welding. From the first inquiry through enrollment, you'll educate, encourage, and support students as they take the first step toward a rewarding career.
Success in this position comes from combining consultative sales, customer service, and strong communication skills with a genuine passion for helping others. Whether your background is in inside sales, admissions, recruiting, account management, or customer success, you'll have the opportunity to make a measurable impact—both in the lives of your students and through your own performance.
If you're looking for a career where you can achieve meaningful goals while helping others build a brighter future, we'd love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
This is a high-energy, high-impact role. You’ll own the full student journey — from the very first phone call to enrollment day — and you’ll do it with urgency, warmth, and a relentless drive to hit your goals.
- Connect with prospective students through phone, email, and in-person or virtual meetings — and bring genuine enthusiasm to every interaction
- Assess each student’s goals and eligibility, then champion the program that fits them best
- Drive the full admissions cycle: inquiry, appointment setting, interviews, application completion, documentation, and enrollment
- Hit and exceed enrollment KPIs — outreach volume, contact-to-appointment conversion, application completion, and closing ratios — because you hold yourself to a high standard
- Follow up with persistence and care — life gets in the way for students; you don’t let a good fit slip through the cracks
- Represent TTT at open houses, career fairs, and community events with the energy and pride of someone who truly believes in what we offer
Who You Are
We’re not just looking for someone who can do this job. We’re looking for someone who will own it. The right person for this role:
- Gets genuinely excited about helping people — this isn’t just a talking point for you, it’s the reason you show up
- Thrives in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment and brings positive energy to the team even on tough days
- Has a proven track record in sales or customer service — you know what it means to work toward a number and you take pride in hitting it
- Communicates with warmth, clarity, and confidence across diverse audiences
- Takes initiative — you don’t wait to be told what to do; you see what needs to happen and you make it happen
- Stays organized and follows through — prospective students are counting on you, and you don’t let them down
