The VP of Product Management will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of TigerGraph as a leading provider of distributed native graph database solutions. The TigerGraph platform, built from the ground up for graph analytics at scale, is the only graph database that works on enterprise-scale datasets across diverse applications to give accurate, reliable insights — fast enough to solve crucial business challenges that can propel the business forward, closing the gap between data and decisions.

This individual will be responsible for defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring that our products meet the evolving needs of our enterprise customers and drive sustainable growth. This role will report directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Vision and Strategy: Develop and articulate a compelling product vision that aligns with the company's overall strategic goals. Define the product roadmap and prioritize features based on market needs, customer feedback, and business objectives.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and customer pain points. Analyze market data to inform product decisions and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Product Planning: Collaborate with engineering, sales, and marketing teams to define product requirements, specifications, and timelines. Manage the product development process from ideation to launch.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new product launches and feature releases. Work closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure successful product adoption and customer satisfaction.
  • Pricing Strategy: Collaborate with finance and sales teams to develop competitive pricing strategies that align with product value and market dynamics.
  • Pricing Analysis: Conduct pricing analysis to assess the impact of pricing changes on revenue, profitability, and market share.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners. Gather feedback on product performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of product managers and analysts. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions. Develop business projections and ROI analysis to support product investments.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven track record in product management, with experience in the graph database industry or related fields.
  • Technical Background: Familiarity with database technologies and concepts, including graph databases. Understanding of AI and machine learning is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data to inform product decisions.
  • Pricing Expertise: Experience in developing and implementing pricing strategies, including cost-plus, value-based, and competitive pricing models
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrated ability to make strategic business decisions and develop financial projections.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills and ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Executive Presence: Ability to represent the company at a senior level and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Startup Experience: Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment is preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science (MBA or advanced degree is a plus). Equivalent years of work experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
  • 15+ years experience as a senior product leader in a B2B enterprise software / SaaS / Cloud infrastructure company, with a track record of bringing successful products to market

The role will be onsite at the company’s HQ in Redwood City and the individual is expected to be in the office 3-4 days/week initially. The anticipated salary range for chosen candidate is $260,000 - $285,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include, but are not limited to, the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc.
