Job Summary

Reporting to our Head of Product and Design, we are looking for a Senior Product Analyst to own product measurement and analytics. You'll shape how we instrument and measure our product, partner with engineering on tracking implementation, and provide deep insights into user behavior and product performance.

Our ideal candidate is an embedded analytics partner who deeply understands B2B SaaS products and user journeys. You'll own product instrumentation and event taxonomy, build frameworks for measuring adoption and engagement, and design experiments to inform product decisions. You're credible with technical teams, combining analytical rigor with product sense and practical judgment. You're excited to take Tines from startup instrumentation to a robust, data-driven product organization.

What you will be doing:

  • Product instrumentation & data quality: Shape event taxonomy and tracking for product analytics. Ensure stable, trusted definitions across the organization. Partner with engineering to instrument tracking where relevant. Work with data engineering to design pipelines for new product data sources, including data tests and QA.
  • User behavior & journey analytics: Map user journeys across the product; identify friction points, adoption patterns, and where users struggle or succeed. Build frameworks for measuring feature adoption, activation, and engagement across different user segments. Analyze usage patterns to identify opportunities for product improvement. Be the voice of users (plural) in product conversations; surface trends, not edge cases.
  • Experimentation & feature rollouts: Design experiments to test product changes; draft hypotheses, define success metrics, conduct power analyses. Analyze experiment results and present findings to product and engineering teams. Monitor feature rollouts and create "feature health" views for ongoing tracking.
  • Engineering operations & performance: Report on operational metrics such as latency, performance bottlenecks, and system behavior. Work with engineering managers to define meaningful KPIs for their teams. Analyze AWS infrastructure costs and usage patterns to inform technical optimization. Pull data from AWS services and translate technical metrics into actionable insights.
  • Product & design partnership: Partner with PMs to set success metrics and measurement frameworks for new initiatives. Work with design team to measure impact of UX changes and inform design decisions with data. Provide quantitative UX research assistance when required. Provide input on in-product analytics and reporting as a subject matter expert. Challenge teams on what metrics actually matter; help establish north star metrics where needed.
  • Cross-functional insights & enablement: Build self-serve dashboards (Omni) that answer top product questions. Work with GTM and CS teams to identify product signals for expansion or churn risk. Support pricing team with analysis on feature utilization and product cost drivers. Partner with product marketing to measure effectiveness of content and materials.

What you bring with you:

Must Have:

  • 5-7 years experience in product analytics with B2B SaaS products
  • Strong SQL skills; confident with CTEs, window functions, and building clean funnels, cohorts, and retention views
  • Experience with dbt for building clean product data models with appropriate tests
  • Proficiency with BI tools for dashboard creation (we use Omni)
  • Experience instrumenting product tracking and defining event taxonomies
  • Experimentation fluency; can design powered experiments with clear success and guardrail metrics
  • Python for data analysis, statistical modeling, and ad-hoc exploration
  • Strong product sense; understands user journeys, identifies friction points and opportunities
  • Technical foundation; familiar with how React-based B2B SaaS products work
  • Excellent written and oral communication; can translate between technical and non-technical audiences of varying seniority
  • Self-starter mentality; comfortable working with ambiguity and unblocking themselves
  • Credible with engineering, product, and design teams; can influence stakeholders effectively

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar)
  • Familiarity with experiment platforms (GrowthBook, Optimizely, or similar)
  • React or frontend framework understanding for deeper instrumentation work
  • AWS and infrastructure experience; particularly S3 and understanding cloud cost metrics
  • Background in quantitative UX research
  • Experience scaling product analytics from startup to enterprise level

Please note we can only consider applicants who are entitled to work permanently in Ireland for this position.
