Senior Project Manager, Construction

The Role:

As a Senior Project Manager, Construction, you will be the driving force behind the successful execution of construction projects based in Toronto. You will manage every phase of project delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role requires a hands-on approach, working closely with project teams, stakeholders, and contractors to overcome challenges and achieve outstanding results.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects from inception to delivery.
  • Regularly visit project sites to ensure smooth progress, safety compliance, and alignment with plans.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to develop and execute comprehensive project strategies.
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resource allocations, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery.
  • Review and manage project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct site inspections and coordinate meetings with stakeholders to address issues and track progress.
  • Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential challenges and ensure project success.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that promotes innovation and best practices in construction management.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed project reports and updates to senior management and clients.

What You’ll Bring:

  • A strong, hands-on team player with a passion for delivering exceptional results in construction.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience managing construction projects, preferably with general contractors or construction management firms.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction principles, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a track record of managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach to managing complex projects.
  • PMP or other relevant project management certification is an asset.
