The Role
As a Project Administrator, you will be working under the direction of a Senior Project Manager (or several Intermediate/Senior Projects managers depending on the scope of the project) in an impactful support function, by learning and participating in the planning and delivery of projects.
What You’ll Do
- Monitoring: coordinate and monitor daily tasks to ensure the project is running smoothly on time and within budget. Relay relevant information regarding progress, identified risks and issues to the project management team.
- Reporting: compile project reports and coordinate their distribution to relevant team members following established communication plans. Assist in forecasting, preparing and updating the project budgets and schedules.
- Support contract management: assist in the preparation of procurement documents and track contract deliverables. Assist in the management of relationships with external vendors.
- Document control: ensure all project documents (plans, reports, change requests) are logged and tracked correctly. Attend project meetings, document and issue meeting minutes and track action items.
- Learning opportunities: participate in project workshops (such as risk workshops, consultant engagement sessions etc.) to gain more exposure to project management principles and learn how project challenges are addressed, mitigated and opportunities for improvement uncovered.
What You’ll Bring

- Degree or diploma in a relevant field is preferred.
- 3+ years' experience supporting engineering, construction or design projects as a Project Administrator/Coordinator.
- Ability to work on-site 3 days per week.
- Previous experience supporting public sector projects
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage documentation, track multiple action items, maintain accurate records, and prioritize competing tasks effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, meeting minutes, status updates, and communicate professionally with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
- Comfortable supporting budgets, forecasts, schedules, and progress tracking, with strong numerical skills and attention to cost and timeline impacts.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite, specifically Excel, Word and Project.
- Existing Government of Canada Secret clearance required.
What We Offer:

- This is a full-time contract position, with compensation expected to be $30-$35 per hour.
This range represents the breadth of experience and expectations for the role. Final compensation will be determined based on an individual’s skills, experience, and demonstrated impact, with progression within the range aligned to performance and contribution over time.
