A bit more about this role:
We are seeking an experienced Revenue Accountant to join our Accounting Team, supporting the entire Tires Easy organization. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices, experience with billing, payments, reporting, analytics and must have prior experience with account reconciliations. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Revenue Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and help to implement efficient processes.

 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Education experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Availability to work full time in EST, CST, or PST time zone 
  • Work experience: A minimum of 4-5 years of experience as an accountant
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • High speed Wi-Fi connection at home
  • Must not have had any disciplinary actions regarding attendance, conduct and/or performance in the past 90 days, and must not be approaching such action

 

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Manage the company’s revenue recording process, including monthly accruals and reconciliations
  • Prepare reconciliations, and maintain schedules, for balance sheet accounts including cash, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, accrued items, and intercompany accounts
  • Reconcile company bank accounts
  • Support the company’s monthly financial close process
  • Manage and make payments for the company’s state sales tax and recycling fees
  • Manage the company’s supplier rebate tracking
  • Manage a Staff Accountant and an accounting clerk 
  • Assistance in maintaining policies and procedures relating to collections
  • Liaising, as necessary, with internal and external parties
  • Assist the Controller with ad hoc research, analysis, and reporting projects
  • Assist in training new support staff, as needed

Desired skills & experience:

  • Experience with Google Workspace products
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel/Microsoft products
  • Strong proficiency using QuickBooks
  • Experience working with SLACK in a work environment
  • Ability to learn/work with multiple systems and data sources
  • You’re a great team member with a can-do attitude; you’re self- reflective and hardworking
