A bit more about this role:
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing a team of accounting clerks while ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining external relationships with vendors, and overseeing essential accounting tasks such as cost accounting, vendor account reconciliations, accruals, etc.. The role involves both team leadership responsibilities and hands-on accounting work. You will work in an entrepreneurial environment where we are constantly looking to learn what our customers need and to develop better ways to serve them.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Education experience: BA degree or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years total experience, including at least 2 years of team leadership experience
- Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English
- Availability to work full USA hour shifts in EST time zones
- High speed Wi-Fi connection
Core responsibilities:
Team Management and Supervision:
- Lead and manage a team of accounting clerks, including work allocation, performance evaluation, and professional development
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members
- Review and approve team members' work to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
Financial Operations:
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes for costs and other expenses, analyze month-to-month deviations and identify potential errors or areas for improvement
- Ensure accurate COGS accounting under US GAAP
- Review and approve transactions in QuickBooks
- Maintain and develop standard operating procedures
- Roll out new processes and provide training, as needed
- Serve as liaison between the accounting department and the rest of the organization, specifically collaborate with operations team to manage supplier payments and resolve payment disputes
Administrative:
- Maintain and organize the administrator accounting email, including overseeing inbound and outbound communications
- Ensure timely response to internal and external inquiries

Desired skills & experience:
- Work experience: Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years of team leadership experience managing 4 or more direct reports
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, particularly in COGS accounting
- Experience with Google Workspace products
- Proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel/Microsoft products
- Experience with QuickBooks and other enterprise-level accounting software
- Strong background in data processing and analysis
- Experience in implementing and improving accounting processes
