Learning Content and Systems Administrator (Hybrid)

Summary

The Learning Content and Systems Administrator is a member of the Education Development team. This department delivers education programs, products, and training to Toastmasters members across the world. This position reports to the Education Development Manager and works independently and as part of a team in a high-functioning, collaborative, fast-paced environment. The Learning Content and Systems Administrator be responsible for managing the Education Development Team’s products and maintaining the learning management system (LMS). This role works closely with Instructional Designers, Content Producers, Subject Matter Experts, and leadership to update and maintain education products and liaises with the LMS vendor to ensure the LMS is running efficiently. The ideal candidate will understand the typical product lifecycle and have experience working in learning management systems. Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to work both independently and as a team player are a must. 

Description

  • Maintain and support improvements to the LMS
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the LMS as they arise
    • Report bugs and unexpected behavior in the LMS to the appropriate vendor support contacts in a timely manner; follow up with vendor contacts until a resolution is reached
    • Develop strong relationships with customer support representatives and establish a process for gathering feedback and escalating critical issues
    • Serve as a bridge between the Education and Information Technology team related to technical configuration and communication between the Toastmasters systems and the LMS
    • Support ongoing improvements in the LMS by communicating gathered feedback, participating in requirements gathering meetings, and working with the vendor and internal teams on implementation and testing, as appropriate
    • Help to maintain content in the LMS by uploading files and making small adjustments, as needed
    • Train and support team members across the organization in use of the LMS based on their needs and roles
    • Create and maintain internal business processes to support team members across the organization in using the LMS
    • Maintain a thorough record of varying tiers of admin access within the LMS, tracking what permission belong to each tier and updating as staff roles and responsibilities change
    • Maintain documentation related to other LMS protocols and procedures as requested
  • Oversee product review process and timeline
    • Develop and oversee a process and timeline for regular reviews of product content
    • Work with Content Producer on product content reviews and coordinate necessary updates with Graphic Design, Instructional Designer, Subject Matter Experts, and other teams as necessary
    • Coordinate the team’s file management system to ensure updated files are stored in the appropriate places and old files are archived
    • Create and maintain a record of all updates made to educational content for historical audits and reference
    • Ensure all content files are up-to-date and available for sharing with other departments such as Translations and Graphic Design
  • Maintain product inventory
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of all Education products
  • Review quotes and usage to recommend quote approvals,
  • Ensure updates are made to products and pricing when necessary
  • Support organization-wide understanding of long-term education goals
    • Participate in meetings with IT to ensure enhancements to the education program (including LMS and product updates) are represented in the organization’s roadmap
    • Liaise with team members in other departments related to how the LMS could support other initiatives within the organization
    • Communicate changes to the education program (including LMS and product updates) throughout the organization as needed
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by Education Development Manager

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Pay Range

$76,000 - $80,000 USD

Compliance with all company policies, including but not limited to the company’s COVID-19 vaccination policy and testing and face-covering policy, is a condition of employment. You must be able to connect to a reliable internet service to perform all job duties when working from home. Work authorization is required, and sponsorship is not available. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

This is a hybrid role, with some days remote and some days on-site (typically 3 per week) in our office at 9127 S. Jamaica St., Englewood, CO 80112. When working in the office, we follow CDC guidelines.
