Position Overview:
This is a high-impact role for a seasoned and results-oriented sales professional with experience in security systems integration and a hunter mindset. The Account Manager is responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, managing existing client relationships, and delivering customized security solutions that meet complex client needs. This role also owns the quoting and estimating process for their deals, helping drive sales velocity, quoting workflow improvement for the entire sales function, and scalable growth across the team.
The ideal candidate has a solid background in selling integrated security technologies – such as access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and related software platforms – and understands the sales cycle within commercial, industrial, or government markets. Strong technical acumen, consultative selling skills, and the ability to work closely with internal teams are essential for success in this role.
What You’ll Do:
Sales Execution & Business Development
- Drive net-new revenue by identifying and closing new business across target verticals.
- Conduct outbound sales activities, network, and generate referrals to build a robust pipeline.
- Maintain and grow assigned accounts, ensuring renewals, upsells, and customer satisfaction.
- Build and manage a pipeline of 10–20 active opportunities monthly in CRM.
- Prioritize qualified leads with urgency and guide clients through a solution-driven sales process.
Quoting, Estimating & Workflow Ownership
- Own the quoting process end-to-end: from site walk to scope to proposal delivery.
- Use and improve internal quoting tools & resources to build accurate quotes.
- Collaborate with engineering and field teams to validate labor and technical assumptions.
- Maintain high quote velocity (goal: 24–48 hour turnaround after site walk).
- Improve quoting workflows, propose standardization opportunities, and help build scalable quoting infrastructure.
- Bonus if experienced with bid platforms, public sector quoting workflows, or E-rate proposals.
Account Management & Strategic Customer Support
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients – understanding their business goals, risk profiles, and long-term technology roadmap
- Coordinate with operations and project managers to ensure seamless handoffs and customer satisfaction
- Manage day-to-day customer needs, including SSA renewals, quoting, and issue resolution
- Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and advise clients as needed on upgrades, compliance, or service improvements
- Manage pipeline; keep CRM data clean and up-to-date to ensure accurate forecasting and follow-through.

Technical and General Business Requirements
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in security integration, low-voltage systems, or construction services.
- Strong technical aptitude in access control, video surveillance, intrusion, and structured cabling.
- Proven ability to scope jobs, build accurate estimates, and close consultative deals.
- Experience designing or refining quoting processes is highly valued.
- Excellent communication skills across multiple stakeholder levels.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms, quoting tools.
- Bonus if familiar with government procurement, bid portals, or E-rate.
