
Sales Development Representative

Position Overview:
Toepfer Security is looking for an energetic, coachable, and driven Sales Support & Development Representative to help fuel our sales pipeline, support quoting and CRM processes, and assist in coordinating key sales operations. This is an entry- to early-career role for someone looking to gain exposure across both the front and back end of the sales process. You’ll identify and qualify leads, help coordinate key sales activities, and provide behind-the-scenes support on quoting and CRM follow-up to help the sales team operate with speed and precision.
This role offers a clear path into a full-cycle sales or sales operations role and provides hands-on exposure to both outbound sales and the quoting process within a high-growth security integrator.
What You’ll Do:
Lead Generation & Qualification
- Conduct outbound prospecting (calls, emails, LinkedIn) to drive engagement with potential customers.
- Follow up on marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) and trade show leads to schedule meetings or discovery calls.
- Research prospects, identify decision makers, and understand their security needs.
Sales Support & Coordination
- Assist the Director of Sales and Sales Consultant with scheduling site walkthroughs and coordinating pre-sale logistics.
- Help maintain meeting agendas, action items, and follow-up documentation for sales team meetings and customer touchpoints.
- Provide ad hoc support for quote follow-ups, customer communication, and marketing event coordination.
- Contribute to trade show prep and customer campaign execution, including lead tracking and logistics.
Pipeline & CRM Management
- Maintain and organize opportunities within the CRM.
- Track all outreach activity, quote follow-ups, and lead status updates.
- Support quote activity by triggering reminders and ensuring prospects are advancing through the pipeline.
Example Performance Metrics:
- Make 20+ outbound touchpoints per day (calls, emails, or LinkedIn outreach).
- Book 8+ qualified meetings per month with key decision makers.
- Keep pipeline and CRM activity up to date with minimal intervention.

Technical and General Business Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in B2B sales, customer service, administrative support, or a fast-paced client-facing environment (internships count!)
- Strong communication skills and a natural ability to connect with people.
- Highly organized, with attention to detail and strong follow-through.
- Motivated, coachable, and goal-oriented with a passion for growth.
- Comfortable balancing outreach and administrative coordination workstreams.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and general tech-savviness.
- Bonus if you have exposure to construction, security, or technology industries.
