Business Development Manager - Key Accounts

Dublin, Dublin, Ireland

At Too Good To Go, we have an ambitious goal: to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste.

Why do we need to do that? Because more than 1/3 of the food produced in the world is wasted. And that has a huge impact on the health of our planet, 10% of greenhouse gas emissions come from food waste and loss!

As the world’s largest food waste-fighting app, we connect stores that have unsold, surplus food with consumers who buy and enjoy it. But we’re more than an app: we are a certified B Corporation and our mission is to inspire and empower everyone to take action against food waste, so we’re doing all we can to create educational tools, make our knowledge as accessible as possible, find new business solutions and even change legislation to reduce food waste.

That means we’re looking for talented people with diverse skills and backgrounds to add to our rapidly growing team. That is where you come in: we’re looking for an exceptional Business Development Manager to join us in our Dublin office.

Your mission:

You will play a pivotal role in the growth of Too Good To Go Ireland and the fight against food waste. You’ll use your experience as a business development manager to drive the acquisition and growth of key partnerships with food businesses such as supermarkets, bakeries, restaurant chains, take-aways and hotels.

Your Role:

Your primary responsibility is to close new key account partnerships with Ireland’s most exciting food businesses, turning high-potential opportunities into long-term, strategic relationships. You will lead on negotiations, secure pilot agreements, drive successful pilot executions, and ultimately sign long-term partnerships with top brands. This is a high-impact, commercially focused role. You'll report to the Sales Manager for the Irish Market, taking on a truly unique opportunity to shape the future of the business and deliver impact at a scale unmatched in Ireland’s history.

The role will include:

  • Owning and accelerating sales opportunities: Take charge of a strong existing pipeline of high-potential prospects, building momentum, deepening engagement, and driving each opportunity to a successful close.
  • Inspiring and influencing decision-makers: Confidently engage senior stakeholders with compelling, insight-led storytelling that brings the Too Good To Go mission to life and positions it as a strategic opportunity.
  • Leading negotiations: Manage all aspects of deal structuring and negotiation with professionalism and precision, overcoming objections and aligning partner and business goals.
  • Planning and executing pilots: Design and deliver impactful pilot programmes that validate our proposition, demonstrate value, and build internal advocacy within the partner business.
  • Closing deals and delivering successful rollouts: Take full ownership of the final stages of the sales process - from signed agreement to full rollout - ensuring each new partner is set up for long-term success before transitioning to the Key Account Management team.
  • Managing internal and external stakeholders: Navigate complex organisations with multiple stakeholders, maintaining alignment and momentum through to close and beyond.
  • Driving international rollouts with global brands: Partner closely with the UK market and Global teams to deliver impactful pilots and unlock growth with international brands in Ireland.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience closing high-value deals with Ireland’s leading food businesses (supermarkets, bakeries, restaurant chains, takeaways, hotels).
  • Strong track record in negotiation and deal management, with the ability to own complex commercial conversations and bring deals over the line.
Demonstrated success in pilot execution and post-signing rollout, ensuring measurable impact and partner satisfaction.
  • Expertise in delivering persuasive, insight-driven pitches and proposals to senior-level stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to assess opportunities strategically and drive tangible outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills - confident in managing multiple stakeholders, navigating resistance, and influencing decisions.
  • Resilience, adaptability, and a solutions-oriented mindset - you see challenges as opportunities.
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative, high-performance sales environment.
  • Passionate about sustainability and the mission to reduce food waste.
