Key Account Senior Team Lead

London, England, United Kingdom

At Too Good To Go, we have an ambitious mission: to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste together.

More than 1/3 of all food produced in the world is wasted. And that has a huge impact on the health of our planet. 10% of greenhouse gas emissions come from food waste and loss.

Through our marketplace app, we connect businesses that have unsold, surplus food, with consumers who can buy and enjoy it at a significantly reduced price. We are a certified B Corporation with a mission to empower everyone to take action against food waste. Alongside our marketplace app, we create educational tools, explore new business solutions, and influence legislation to help reduce food waste.

We’re looking for talented people with diverse skills and backgrounds to add to our rapidly growing team. That is where you come in: we’re looking for an exceptional Key Account Senior Team Lead (OOH) to join our UK office, based in London.

Your mission:

To lead a high-performing team of 12 Account Managers and Store Operations Specialists, empowering them to nurture & grow a portfolio of some of our largest partners across food to go & hospitality, driving & supporting their food waste reduction efforts.

Role responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire your team: You’ll be a manager of managers, mentoring a team of 12 in total. You'll be responsible for setting ambitious goals, driving their professional development, providing impactful feedback, and ultimately ensuring high performance and delivery against objectives.
  • Strategic portfolio accountability: driving overall strategic direction to direct your team's activities & account plans, to maximise partner retention and optimise food waste reduction, ensuring you consistently meet and exceed company KPIs.
  • Expert partner stakeholder management: Proactively identify, engage with, and build deep relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within our largest food-to-go and hospitality partners, actively engaging on joint partnership goals.
  • Data-driven planning & forecasting: Build comprehensive reports to track performance and identify key trends. You'll create accurate financial projections and forecasts to inform internal planning and develop compelling commercial proposals.
  • Consultative solution selling: Deeply understand partners' business challenges, leveraging your knowledge of our full product portfolio to propose tailored, value-driven solutions that strengthen partnerships and resonate with key decision-makers.
  • Strategic contribution & collaboration: Actively contribute to the overarching UK Key Account strategy, including working closely with Partner Marketing to maximise awareness of our partnerships, and acquisition team members to support your segments penetration. Actively lead & promote collaboration with your global counterparts on strategic direction and applicable cross-market partnerships.

Requirements:

  • Collaborative & a team player: extensive experience working in roles with high collaboration required cross functionally to deliver results; experience working in a global matrixed organisation a plus.
  • Strategic thinking & problem solving: Proven ability to adopt a growth mindset and see the big picture in order to create & deliver a strategy, adapting to change and reacting where needed
  • Line management & leadership: this role leads our largest segment team, and requires significant line management.  A proven ability to develop & progress team talent is essential. Experience in managing  internal change and delivering  performance improvement projects is highly desirable.
  • Commercial acumen & data literacy: success working in highly-commercial roles and on complex commercial negotiations, and in settings where data visualisation & clear narrative building drives action.
  • A role model communicator & negotiator: demonstrate outstanding communication skills. You'll present confidently, land clear and impactful messages, and effectively influence upwards and downwards, often engaging with C-suite and senior leaders both internally and externally.
  • Results oriented & a self starter: You’re someone who is driven by achieving targets and takes full accountability of outcomes & key learnings.
  • Organised & detail-oriented: skilled in managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, with a strong ability to track intricate details, and prioritise effectively to drive timely and successful outcomes across  accounts and team members.
