Your Role

Our organization already features a dedicated, highly skilled Infor M3 Technical Administrator who manages core backend infrastructure, integration layers (MEC/ION), custom extensions, database health, and system security. This infrastructure support allows the new Functional Finance Consultant to focus fully on application utilization, operational value, and cross-departmental alignment.

The primary purpose of this role is to translate complex business and accounting requirements into concrete functional configurations within Infor M3. You will operate as an internal advisor, helping our financial team make informed, strategic process decisions while ensuring the tech department has clear direction for systems alignment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Process Alignment & Decision Support

  • Act as the primary interface and functional translator between the corporate Finance team and the Product and Tech departments.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Owner, Project Manager, and external consultants to analyze existing financial processes and identify system optimization opportunities in M3.
  • Provide functional expertise to guide key decision-making processes regarding how new business models, geographical rollouts, or operational changes impact financial reporting and system parameters.

2. Functional Configuration & Application Management

  • Execute hands-on functional configurations within the Infor M3 Finance module (e.g., configuring accounting rules, parameter matrices, financial layouts, and user-specific views) based on aligned business processes.
  • Manage the functional setup and continuous refinement of financial ledgers, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset management, and cost accounting matrices.
  • Define functional specifications for reporting and analytics, collaborating with internal technical resources and external consultancy partners to deploy robust financial dashboards and compliance reporting.

3. Cross-Module Integration & End-to-End Workflow Optimization

  • Maintain a comprehensive, high-level understanding of how adjacent modules (such as Purchasing/Procurement, Warehousing, and Supply Chain) flow into the Finance module.
  • Ensure that operational processes across the wider supply chain accurately trigger proper financial entries and post smoothly to the general ledger without system discrepancies.
  • Identify, evaluate, and troubleshoot bottlenecks or points of failure where operational workflows do not properly align with downstream financial reporting requirements.

4. Power User Support & Change Management

  • Deliver advanced functional support and advice to finance power users, assisting with complex reconciliation issues, error resolution, or month-end and year-end closing challenges.
  • Author detailed functional documentation, process maps, and standard operating training guides to prepare the finance team for system upgrades or process shifts.

Qualifications & Experience

Professional Background

  • Significant experience working as a Functional Consultant, Business Systems Analyst, or an advanced Power User focused heavily on enterprise ERP optimizations.
  • Demonstrated history of working closely with corporate accounting, corporate controllers, FP&A, or general finance teams to translate financial requirements into enterprise-scale solutions.
  • Proven track record of collaborating effectively with third-party vendors and external consultants to drive successful ERP initiatives.

Functional & ERP Expertise

  • Infor M3 Focus: Strong functional proficiency in the Infor M3 environment, specifically within the Finance core modules.
  • Configuration Capability: Clear, hands-on ability to perform functional system changes, configure business logic, alter parameters, and adjust financial matrices within M3 without needing backend code development.
  • Financial Literacy: Strong understanding of corporate finance and core accounting workflows (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cost Accounting, and multi-entity consolidation).
  • Cross-Module Awareness: General working knowledge of adjacent modules (Procurement, Order Management, Inventory, and Warehousing) and how their data models flow downstream into financial reporting.

Soft Skills & Collaborative Competencies

  • The "Bridge" Mindset: Strong interpersonal and translation skills; ability to easily communicate technical concepts to finance experts and complex financial principles to engineering staff.
  • Team Integration: Highly collaborative nature with a comfortable presence working inside an agile tech environment alongside Product Owners, Project Managers, Engineers, and external implementation partners.

Problem Solving: Excellent analytical skills with a focus on holistic business process designs and functional data integrity.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
