Senior Product Designer - 12 Month Parental Cover

København, Hovedstaden, Denmark

🌏 Mission: At Too Good To Go, we have an ambitious mission: to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste together. More than 1/3 of all food produced in the world is wasted, which has a huge impact on our planet - 10% of greenhouse gas emissions to be exact.

💻 Product: Too Good To Go operates the world's largest marketplace for surplus food, where we connect food businesses with consumers who can buy and enjoy it at 50%+ off retail value. Alongside our app, we operate an end-to-end surplus food management solution and influence legislation to reduce food waste.

📈 Scale:  We’re growing fast: Our community of 133+ million registered users and 261.000 active partners across 21 countries has together already saved 517+ million meals from going to waste - avoiding over 1.4 million tonnes of CO2e! We partner with some of the industry’s biggest names, like Starbucks, Whole Foods Market, Krispy Kreme, and others,  to drive social and climate impact.

⭐️ Impact: We are a certified B Corp social impact company. Too Good To Go was named in FastCompany's list of the World's Most Innovative Companies and World Changing Ideas. We are also honoured to be included in TIME’s 100 Most Influential Companies. Most recently, we won Apple’s coveted Cultural Impact Winner.

Your Mission:

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer to join our team for a high-impact 12-month engagement. Our mission is simple: build digital experiences that empower millions of people to fight food waste every single day.

Your Role:

This isn't just a maintenance role where you'll be keeping the lights on. You’ll be driving critical projects right at the intersection of our popular consumer-facing app and our B2B partner platform. If you enjoy untangling complex problems and translating them into elegant, user-friendly designs, this is a chance to do some deeply meaningful work.

Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Ownership: Lead the discovery, strategy, and execution for major features spanning both our consumer app and our web-based partner tool.
  • Simplify Complex Workflows: Turn intricate processes - from data-heavy B2B tasks to everyday consumer journeys - into clean, intuitive interfaces that reduce cognitive load for all our users.
  • Champion the Design System: Play a definitive role in evolving our newly established design system. You'll define scalable components, ensure accessibility, and smooth out the design-to-engineering handoff.
  • Test & Iterate: Validate your design hypotheses using rapid prototyping (AI enabled), user research, and deep product analytics to ensure we're building the right solutions.
  • Collaborate & Lead: Work tightly within the product trio of our Checkout & Collection team (Product, Engineering, Design), and align with stakeholders at all levels in the company.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Significant experience in product design, ideally blending the delightful experiences of B2C apps with the functional complexity of B2B/SaaS tools.
  • Figma & Systems Thinking: Deep expertise in Figma, with hands-on experience building, scaling, or governing design systems.
  • Interaction Craft: You know how to build logical flows, strong information architecture, and beautiful interfaces.
  • Data Fluency: You are comfortable reading adoption funnels and using both quantitative data and qualitative research to back up your design decisions.
  • Communication & Empathy: You are a great storyteller who can explain the "why" behind your designs. You bring a low-ego, highly collaborative mindset to the team.
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing crisp UIs, systems thinking, and responsive design across both mobile and web.

Our values

  • We win together: Food waste is a big beast to fight. We believe in a #oneteam.
  • We raise the bar: We always push for more. We work smart, smash barriers and elevate one another.
  • We keep it simple: Our ambitions are bold but our solutions are simple.
  • We build a legacy: We’re proud of the change we’re driving.
  • We care: We always look out for each other. Caring is also about the way we do business. We do the right thing.

What we have to offer

  • A rare opportunity to work in a social impact company (and certified B Corporation!) where you can see real and tangible impact in your role.
  • Working alongside an international community of users, partners and 1,350+ colleagues across 21 countries that are on the same important mission.
  • Personal and professional development opportunities in a fast-paced scale-up environment.
  • An inclusive company culture where you can bring your authentic self to work
  • A strong, values-driven team culture where we celebrate successes and socialise with colleagues that care.

Benefits

  • WORK FLEXIBLY:
    • Enjoy hybrid working from our great offices, at home or abroad.
    • Extra parental leave and days off beyond local legislation and the option to take an extra week of unpaid leave
    • Health insurance and pension plans (subject to country of employment).
    • Additional days off for significant life events
  • CELEBRATE & SOCIALISE
    • Regular social events like summer and winter parties.
    • Coffee, snacks and fully-equipped kitchens.
    • Get to know our community with a monthly free Surprise Bag
    • Paid volunteer time through our Shareback volunteering programme
    • Women in the Workplace, P.R.I.D.E., People of Colour and Functionally Diverse Employee Resource Groups
