Sales Team Lead

Berlin, Berlin, Germany

We are Too Good To Go, a certified B Corp with a clear mission: to inspire and empower everyone to take action against food waste. Globally, we’ve already saved over 500 million meals - equivalent to avoiding over 1 million tons of CO2e!

As we continue to scale, we are looking for a Team Lead Inside Sales based in our Berlin office to lead, scale, and professionalise our high-velocity (tele) sales engine. We need a leader who breathes efficiency and understands that social impact is fueled by a high-performing, profitable sales machine.

Your mission

We are looking for a data-driven, high-energy leader to manage a team of around 8-12 Inside Sales Representatives (Reps). Your mission is to build a world-class performance culture. You aren't just managing people; you are optimising a system. You understand the levers of Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) and Lifetime Value (LTV) and know how to drive your team to achieve maximum output with surgical efficiency.

Your role

As the Teamlead Inside Sales, you are responsible for one of our 4 Berlin-based acquisition teams.

  • Lead & Develop: You manage, coach, and mentor a team of 8-10 Reps, transforming them into high-performing sales machines. You drive individual growth through rigorous 1:1s, call shadowing, and feedback loops.
  • Performance Culture: You instill a culture of accountability and "winning together." You set ambitious targets and ensure the team is relentlessly focused on hitting their KPIs.
  • Operational Excellence: You are obsessed with the sales funnel. You optimise conversion rates at every stage of the pipeline and ensure the highest levels of activity (outbound calls/emails).
  • Data-Driven Leadership: You don't manage by gut feeling. You analyse team performance through the lens of CAC/LTV ratios, payback periods, and sales velocity. You report directly on these metrics to the Head of Independent Partners.
  • Scaling Efficiency: You identify bottlenecks in the current sales process and implement tech-driven solutions or script optimisations to increase the team's "output per head."
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: You work closely with Marketing and Sales Ops to ensure a high-quality lead flow and a seamless handover to our Growth / Account Management teams.

Requirements

  • Proven Leadership: You have significant experience in leading Inside tele-sales (High-Velocity)  teams, ideally in a fast-growing Tech or SaaS environment.
  • The "Inside" Specialist: You know exactly what it takes to win over the phone. You are an expert in cold calling, objection handling, and closing deals in a short sales cycle.
  • Economic Mindset: You are deeply familiar with Unit Economics. You understand how your team’s performance impacts the overall profitability of the business.
  • Execution Power: You are a "doer" who leads by example. You aren't afraid to hop on a call to show the team how it's done.
  • Analytical Rigor: You are highly proficient in Salesforce (or similar CRMs) and data visualisation tools (Tableau, Looker, etc.).
  • Communication: You are fluent in German and English (C1 level preferred).
  • Resilience & Drive: You thrive in a fast-paced environment where change is the only constant. You "Raise the Bar" every single day.

Our Values:

  • We Win Together
  • We Raise the Bar
  • We Keep It Simple
  • We Build A Legacy
  • We Care

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
