What is this role like?

We’re looking for a motivated, experienced and smart Director of Product Marketing to join the dynamic and growing team in the US!  In this role, you'll be the driving force behind how Topsort’s innovative retail media platform is positioned and communicated to the market. You’ll act as a bridge between product, sales, and marketing, owning go-to-market strategy, crafting compelling narratives, and enabling our teams to win and grow with some of the best retailers, marketplaces, and delivery platforms across the US.

You will:

  • Embrace the “sports team” mentality of Topsort—work cross-functionally with product, engineering, sales, and customer success teams across geographies to align messaging, drive strategy, and support revenue growth.
  • Be a subject matter expert in retail media: deeply understand the ad tech ecosystem, Topsort’s auction-based platform, and the evolving needs of retailers, marketplaces, and brands.
  • Own product positioning and messaging across channels, ensuring clarity, consistency, and differentiation in a competitive market.
  • Lead go-to-market strategy for new product launches and feature rollouts, partnering closely with product management and marketing to ensure successful adoption.
  • Develop sales enablement materials, case studies, and pitch narratives that help our teams tell a compelling and value-driven story.
  • Continuously gather insights from the field, customers, and competitors to inform roadmap, messaging, and campaign strategy.
  • Represent Topsort at events, webinars, and in key customer conversations as a strategic and knowledgeable voice in the space.

What (we think) you need to be successful - we’re open to not checking all the boxes and be proven wrong by outlier candidates as well! 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field required.
  • MBA or advanced degree is a plus, especially with a focus on Strategy, Product Management, or Technology.
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS marketing, with a strong track record in product marketing or go-to-market strategy—ideally in ad tech, martech, or eCommerce platforms.
  • Strong communicator and storyteller: You know how to make technical products accessible and persuasive through clear, compelling messaging.
  • Demonstrated leadership: You're able to lead initiatives independently, mentor others, and influence product, sales, and executive stakeholders alike.
  • Startup hustle and speed: You’re able to work hard, move fast, can adjust to a dynamic environment and sell to complex organizations and technical customers
  • Ability to learn on the job, learn fast, and have strong curiosity for the industry and a desire to self-educate to become the expert on auctions, retail media, and marketplace monetization.
  • Team Player: Lone-wolf style tech is from the past; at Topsort, it’s about being a sports team that achieves goals together.
  • Work onsite (office in Boston) 4 days a week, ability to travel domestically and internationally for industry events and client visits
