About The Role
We are looking for a passionate and versatile Engineering Manager to lead a cross-functional team. You will be at the heart of our core technology, guiding a team focused on areas like backend services, data systems, ML infrastructure, developer platforms, or product features.
This is a role for a leader who can thrive with open-ended challenges. You may come from any technical background—backend, infrastructure, data, ML, or full-stack—but you share a deep passion for building high-quality systems and steering teams toward impactful results. You’ll bring strong technical insight, exceptional people leadership, and a product-focused mindset to help your team succeed in our fast-moving, API-first environment.
What You'll Do
- Leadership: Lead a diverse team of engineers and mentor them through code reviews, technical design discussions, and career development.
- Technical Direction: Set technical direction and architecture in collaboration with your team and other leads.
- Execution: Drive projects from ideation to deployment, whether they are infrastructure, models, APIs, or platform features.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to turn goals into concrete plans.
- Standards: Champion high engineering standards, including testing, documentation, observability, and deployment practices.
- Culture: Foster a team culture of inclusion, autonomy, and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: 7+ years of professional experience in software or data engineering, including at least 2 years in an engineering leadership role. You have a proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver projects in production environments.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Technical Background: Strong background in one or more areas, such as scalable backend systems (Go, Python, Rust, etc.), cloud infrastructure and DevOps (GCP, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, etc.), machine learning or data platforms (Airflow, Spark, ML models in production), or frontend and product engineering (React, TypeScript, design systems).
- Communication: Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Ownership: A strong sense of ownership and a track record of building systems that scale and evolve over time.
