Senior Manager of Risk
Summary
The Senior Manager of Risk is a leadership position responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and performance of the Risk team, including managing the Managers of Risk. This role blends high-level risk management with hands-on leadership, ensuring the Risk team operates efficiently, proactively manages risk, and aligns with organizational goals. The Senior Manager of Risk will oversee the monitoring of traders in both the simulated and live environments while guiding policy around live trading to best ensure optimal performance and compliance with risk management policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee Daily Funded Trader Operations.
- Oversee & Innovate Daily proprietary Trader Selection and Performance.
- Innovation around account monitoring, evaluation systems, policies, and procedures to identify inefficiencies and drive improvements.
- Prioritize daily monitoring of the current market environment. Demonstrate Hyper-awareness of market conditions, news events, and overall industry shifts.
- Hire, train, and mentor Risk Managers, fostering a high-performance culture with continuous feedback and professional growth.
- Oversee performance practices, including QA reviews, one-on-ones, and leadership coaching.
- Define objectives, set KPIs, and track team performance to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Analyze key metrics to identify trends, optimize workflows, and enhance operational effectiveness.
- Identify and socialize opportunities for potential program or policy changes.
- Work with internal teams to streamline processes and implement best practices.
- Maintain in-house Risk Tools, including strong and frequent contact with our partners.
Required Qualifications and Key Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
- Experience working with professional financial institutions in the Professional side of the Futures Trading Industry.
- Strong sense of accountability, integrity, communication, and ethics.
- Experience with team management.
- Advanced experience in Sheets or Excel.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of several trading platforms.
- Ability to work in an ever-changing environment.
- Knowledge of an array of management styles and coaching techniques.

New Hire Base Salary Range
- $125,000-$130,000
- Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
- The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
