Senior Video Editor
Summary
As a Senior Video Editor at Topstep, you’ll be responsible for conceiving and editing video content from start to finish, ensuring that the final product aligns with the creative vision of the project. You’ll work closely with the creative, media, and marketing teams to edit, assemble, and refine video materials for various platforms, including digital, broadcast, and social media. Attention to detail, with a focus on storytelling and creativity, is necessary
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and assemble video content, including raw footage, audio, and effects, ensuring high-quality, engaging video output.
- Manage and organize project files, ensuring all materials are stored properly for easy access and workflow efficiency.
- Work closely with art directors, designers, and other video editors to bring creative ideas to life.
- Attend creative and marketing meetings and offer expertise on editing best practices, trends, and techniques.
- Leverage significant multimedia knowledge, including expertise in cameras, lighting, audio recording, and editing.
- Shape and refine the narrative structure of video projects, maintaining a strong focus on storytelling, pacing, and emotional impact.
- Ensure all video content adheres to Topstep’s voice, tone, and business objectives.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior editors and other team members, sharing best practices and offering constructive feedback.
Required Qualifications and Key Competencies
- 5+ years of professional video editing experience, preferably with a strong portfolio of diverse projects.
- Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.).
- Experience with motion graphics and 3D animation is a plus.
- Strong creative instincts with the ability to tell compelling stories through video.
- Excellent sense of pacing, timing, and visual composition.
- Ability to work well in a team, providing clear and constructive feedback.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
- Highly organized with excellent time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail in all aspects of video production.

New Hire Base Salary Range
- $95,000-$125,000
- Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
- The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
