Social Media Specialist
Summary
The Social Media Specialist supports our social media efforts, assists with content concepting, creates and schedules posts, and helps drive engagement across platforms. This person will be an integral part of the social team, working closely with multiple internal areas to shape and drive our social presence. You'll have the opportunity to help while maintaining an active and engaging presence on platforms like Reddit and Discord.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in creating, scheduling and publishing social media content across multiple platforms, ensuring alignment with our brand voice and strategy.
- Use tools to actively monitor and respond to community comments, feedback and DMs in a timely fashion with brand voice.
- Act as a liaison between the social media, TopstepTV, and Support teams to ensure seamless communication and content execution.
- Manage and moderate the Reddit account, working closely with the community to foster positive engagement and flag inappropriate posts as necessary.
- Collaborate with the Discord team to maintain a welcoming community and assist with community engagement.
- Assist in creating reports for weekly social media updates, tracking metrics and engagement to help refine strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with social media trends, news, and best practices, and pitch new content ideas to the team.
- Help coordinate content creation efforts, ensuring deadlines are met and content is consistent across channels to increase brand visibility and audience growth.
Required Qualifications and Key Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience working with social media management tools and platforms such as Sprout Social.
- Experience in scheduling and managing content across social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn).
- Familiarity with Reddit, Discord, and other community platforms.
- Solid understanding of social media analytics tools and the ability to generate reports.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to represent the brand professionally.
- Ability to think creatively and contribute to content planning and strategy.
- Proactive and detail-oriented, with a passion for social media and community management.

- Interest in financial markets or trading knowledge.
- Self-motivated - independently finds challenges and opportunities and builds strategies to capitalize on them.
- Collaborative - proactively connects dots across teams and channels to make the most of our efforts.
- Resourceful - the ability to find quick and creative ways to overcome challenges.
- Basic understanding of Google Suites - Include Sheets, Docs, Slides, and Forms.
- Familiarity with tools such as Canva and Figma or other design software to assist with creating branded images and visuals.

New Hire Base Salary Range
- $65,000-$73,000.
- Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
- The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
