Staff Product Manager
Summary
Are you a systems thinker and product strategist who thrives on solving complex, high-impact problems? Topstep is looking for a Staff Product Manager to lead major product initiatives that sit at the intersection of user needs, business growth, and technical evolution. In this role, you’ll define product strategy for key domains, orchestrate cross-team alignment, and push forward ambitious ideas from concept to real-world results. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep product judgment with strong execution instincts, and who’s ready to step into a position of broad influence across teams and functions. You’ll shape how we think about the future of our platform and help build the connective tissue that turns vision into reality.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive strategy for high-leverage product areas that shape Topstep’s growth and long-term impact
- Lead complex initiatives that span teams, systems, and user journeys, owning outcomes from idea through execution
- Create structure and focus in ambiguous problem spaces, connecting customer insight to business opportunity
- Align cross-functional stakeholders around strategic priorities and help teams navigate trade-offs with clarity
- Drive the roadmap and product development process with a bias toward learning, iteration, and measurable results
- Guide product thinking across the organization, sharing frameworks and elevating team practices
- Represent product at the leadership level bringing a strong voice, a user-centric mindset, and a clear point of view
Required Qualifications and Key Competencies
- 8+ years of experience in product management, including experience owning full product areas or platforms
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to balance big-picture goals and detailed execution
- Proven success leading complex, cross-functional efforts with significant technical and user complexity
- Fluency in customer discovery, product validation, and data-informed decision-making
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across teams and levels of seniority
- Comfort working in dynamic, fast-moving environments with evolving priorities
- A leadership mindset grounded in collaboration, clarity, and impact

New Hire Base Salary Range
- $157,000-$218,000
- Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
- The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
