Cloud Operations Engineer
Summary
We’re seeking an experienced Cloud Operations Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you’ll own and optimize the cloud infrastructure that powers our trading platform and internal services. You’ll work closely with engineering leadership, security, and product teams to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and AWS best practices.
- Maintain and evolve CI/CD pipelines for multiple environments using modern DevOps tooling.
- Collaborate with developers in executing advanced deployment strategies to ensure safe, low-downtime releases.
- Build and manage Web Application Firewall (AWS WAF) rules and configurations to protect our platform from emerging threats.
- Implement observability tooling and proactive alerting around cloud infrastructure, networking, and application health.
- Provide incident response support and participate in on-call rotations.
- Proactively identify, recommend, and remediate infrastructure improvements to improve performance, security, and developer velocity.
Required Qualifications and Key Competencies
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in a CloudOps, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering role.
- Deep expertise with Terraform, AWS services (EC2, ALB/NLB, RDS, VPC, WAF, CloudFront, Lambda, etc.).
- Solid end-to-end understanding of the software development lifecycle and hands-on experience implementing advanced deployment patterns (e.g. Blue/Green and Canary).
- Experience with AWS WAF management and tuning.
- Strong scripting or automation skills (Python, Bash, or similar).
- Familiarity with modern observability tooling (CloudWatch, Datadog, or similar).
- Comfort working in fast-paced, high-ownership, remote-friendly environments.
- Experience integrating infrastructure as code into CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, Jenkins, or similar).
- Strong problem-solving and incident management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting financial or trading systems.
- Familiarity with container orchestration (ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes).
- Background in infrastructure security and compliance.
- Exposure to multi-region and highly available architecture design patterns.

New Hire Base Salary Range
- $150,000-$175,000
- Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
- The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
