Senior Manager - IT Asset Manager
Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented IT Asset Manager and Governance professional to join our IT leadership team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of all IT assets, defining and implementing IT governance policies, and contributing to the strategic direction of our IT department. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, deep knowledge of IT asset management best practices, and the ability to develop and enforce governance frameworks that align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive IT asset management policies and procedures
- Create and enforce IT governance frameworks that ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal standards
- Participate as a key member of the IT leadership team to define strategic direction and priorities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of hardware and software assets, from procurement to disposal
- Maintain accurate inventory of all IT assets and licenses across the organization
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with licensing agreements and governance policies
- Optimize IT asset utilization and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Collaborate with procurement, finance, and other departments to streamline asset acquisition processes
- Develop and implement risk management strategies related to IT assets
- Create and maintain documentation for all IT assets, policies, and procedures
- Lead the evaluation and selection of asset management tools and technologies
- Provide regular reporting on asset status, compliance, and governance metrics to executive leadership
- Mentor and develop team members involved in asset management activities
Required Qualifications and Key Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in IT asset management or IT governance roles
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership or management position
- Strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks (ITIL, COBIT, ISO 27001)
- Experience developing and implementing IT policies and procedures
- Proficiency with asset management tools and software license management
- Understanding of IT procurement processes and vendor management
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements related to IT (SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- ITAM, CSAM, or ITIL certification preferred

New Hire Base Salary Range
- $220,00-$230,000
- Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
- The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
