Senior Director, Growth, Lifecycle, & Performance

Summary 

The Senior Director, Growth, Lifecycle, & Performance will be a senior leader responsible for building and driving Topstep’s end-to-end revenue engine, from first touch to long-term loyalty. This role will lead three high-impact areas: Lifecycle Marketing & CRM: Driving personalized, behavior-based journeys that increase trial conversion, retention, and lifetime value. Growth & Digital Acquisition: Owning paid and organic digital strategy to acquire high-quality traders efficiently. Advertising Buying, Insights & Performance: Maximizing paid media efficiency, attribution, and investment impact through data and analytics. The ideal candidate is both a strategist and operator, combining analytical rigor with creative problem-solving. You will build and lead a multidisciplinary team, partner with product, brand, creative, and media teams to deliver results that directly impact revenue growth and customer success.

Key Responsibilities 

Lifecycle Marketing & CRM

  • Design and execute full-funnel CRM strategies across email, SMS, in-app messaging, onboarding, re-engagement, win-back, upsell/cross-sell, and customer nurture programs.
  • Leverage data, segmentation, and behavioral triggers to deliver personalized, automated customer journeys
  • Map and optimize each stage of the customer lifecycle: Awareness, Acquisition, Onboarding, Engagement, Retention, Loyalty, and Advocacy.
  • Partner with Product to ensure in-platform messaging and experiences support trading success and habit development.

Growth & Digital Acquisition

  • Own Topstep’s digital acquisition strategy, including paid search, paid social, display, SEO, and CRO.
  • Manage the acquisition budget to achieve CAC, ROAS, and volume targets while scaling efficiently.
  • Develop creative testing frameworks in partnership with Brand, Creative, and Media teams to maximize campaign performance.
  • Collaborate with Lifecycle Marketing and Product to ensure seamless, high-converting acquisition funnels.

Advertising Buying, Insights & Performance

  • Lead paid media planning, buying, and ongoing optimization across all digital channels.
  • Build a marketing insights and analytics function that supports performance tracking, attribution, and brand health measurement.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reporting cadences, and test-and-learn methodologies to guide decision-making.
  • Implement robust attribution models to understand the true impact of each channel and campaign.

Required Qualifications and Key Competencies

  • 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, including leadership in lifecycle, growth, and performance marketing.
  • Proven track record of managing and scaling digital acquisition and CRM programs in a B2C or fintech environment.
  • Deep expertise in paid media buying, performance optimization, and marketing analytics.
  • Experience building and leading high-performing, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data visualization and marketing analytics platforms.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, especially with Product, Creative, and Engineering teams.

New Hire Base Salary Range

  • $240,000 - $280,000
  • Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
  • The compensation offered will take into account internal compensation structure and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
