Sr. Project Manager, Brand & Marketing
Summary
The Sr. Project Manager, Brand & Marketing will build and oversee Topstep’s marketing and creative project management function, leading a team of project managers and coordinators. This role will serve as the operational backbone of the Creative, Marketing, and Media organization, driving project planning, workflow optimization, resource allocation, vendor and tools management, and cross-functional alignment. You’ll be responsible for translating strategy into clear project plans, removing roadblocks, implementing and refining processes, and ensuring all deliverables meet quality, timeline, and budget expectations. The ideal candidate is a detail-obsessed leader who thrives on structure, communication, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers and coordinators, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
- Establish training, onboarding, and development programs to elevate team performance and skills.
- Serve as the escalation point for project risks, conflicts, and cross-functional misalignment.
Project Planning & Execution
- Translate business and marketing strategies into clear, executable project plans with defined scope, timelines, milestones, budgets, and ownership.
- Oversee the management of all marketing, creative, and media projects - from integrated campaigns and brand initiatives to product launches and studio productions.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with Brand, Social, Lifecycle, Growth, Media, Partnerships, and Product teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Implement robust change management processes to keep projects agile and adaptable.
Workflow, Tools, & Process Optimization
- Own onboarding and ongoing management of all marketing, creative, and media tools, platforms, and vendors.
- Build and continuously improve end-to-end processes including the creative submission process, legal review workflows, and go-to-market (GTM) launch frameworks.
- Create and enforce standardized processes for intake, prioritization, resourcing, approvals, and reporting.
- Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track project status, resource utilization, and operational performance.
- Champion best practices for communication, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
Resource Management & Prioritization
- Partner with department leads to allocate resources effectively across competing priorities.
- Monitor team bandwidth and proactively identify capacity gaps.
- Provide recommendations for outsourcing, contractor engagement, or hiring to meet demand.
Risk Management & Quality Control
- Identify and mitigate project risks early, implementing contingency plans when needed.
- Ensure all deliverables meet agreed-upon quality standards, brand guidelines, and strategic objectives.
Required Qualifications and Key Competencies
- 8+ years of project management experience in marketing, creative, or media environments, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record managing large-scale, cross-functional projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong people leadership skills with experience building and scaling high-performing project management teams.
- Expertise in project management methodologies and tools (Asana, Monday.com, Jira, etc.).
- Experience owning vendor relationships and onboarding new tools/platforms.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders, from executives to creatives.
- Experience in fintech, digital media, or high-growth consumer brands is a plus.

New Hire Base Salary Range
- $130,000 - $160,000
- Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
- The compensation offered will take into account internal compensation structure and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
