Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Verification and Validation (V&V) Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the reliability, performance, and compliance of our embedded computer modules through rigorous testing and validation processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, hardware, and software engineers, to uphold our commitment to delivering high-quality solutions to our clients.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

Test Planning and Strategy:

  • Develop and document comprehensive verification and validation plans based on product requirements and design specifications

  • Define test strategies and methodologies to validate embedded hardware and software functionality, reliability, and performance

Test Design and Implementation:

  • Create detailed test cases, procedures, and scripts to verify module functionality and compliance with industry standards

  • Set up and maintain test environments, including test hardware, software tools, and simulation frameworks

Execution and Analysis:

  • Execute manual and automated tests, including functional, regression, integration, stress, and system-level tests

  • Analyze test results to identify, document, and report defects or non-conformances

  • Collaborate with design teams to diagnose and resolve issues

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure that all test activities and results comply with relevant standards, such as ISO, IEC, or other industry-specific requirements

  • Maintain thorough documentation of test plans, procedures, results, and defect tracking

Continuous Improvement:

  • Contribute to the enhancement of V&V processes, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency and test coverage

  • Stay updated on emerging testing techniques and tools relevant to embedded systems

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in verification and validation of embedded systems, including hardware and software components.
  • Proficiency with testing tools and frameworks for embedded systems (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers, simulation tools).
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as C/C++ and scripting languages like Python or Bash.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, CAN) and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Experience with requirements management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, DOORS, or equivalent).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus
