Role Overview

The Delivery Manager is responsible for driving and overseeing the end-to-end delivery of hardware and Linux BSP (Board Support Package) development projects. This role ensures seamless coordination between Product Management, Procurement, Hardware Design & Development, Linux BSP Development, Verification & Validation, and the Product Lifecycle teams to achieve successful product launches, from prototyping to mass production. The Delivery Manager acts as the central orchestrator, ensuring project milestones, quality, and timelines are met while mitigating risks and aligning deliverables with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Execution:

  • Plan, manage, and track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables across hardware and Linux BSP development.
  • Ensure efficient execution from initial concept to sample release and volume production.
  • Monitor dependencies across teams and proactively resolve bottlenecks.
  • Drive risk management and issue resolution to maintain project timelines.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Act as the bridge between Product Management, Hardware Engineering, Linux BSP Development, Procurement, Verification & Validation, and Manufacturing teams.
  • Ensure alignment of product requirements, development timelines, and procurement needs.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between internal teams and external partners, including EMS providers and component suppliers.
  • Support alignment with customer requirements and regulatory compliance.

Process & Governance:

  • Establish and enforce best practices in project management, Agile methodologies, and hardware-software integration workflows.
  • Implement and refine processes for tracking deliverables, reporting project status, and handling escalations.
  • Own the transition from prototype to sample phase, ensuring smooth handover to production and operations teams.

Stakeholder & Risk Management:

  • Provide clear and timely updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in procurement, hardware development, software integration, and validation.
  • Ensure alignment with business objectives, cost targets, and resource availability.

Product Lifecycle Management:

  • Oversee product launch readiness, from sample release to volume production.
  • Coordinate validation and certification processes.
  • Work closely with supply chain and logistics teams to manage production ramp-up.

Key Qualifications & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management or delivery management within hardware and embedded software development.
  • Proven expertise in hardware product development, Linux BSP (Board Support Package) development, and embedded system integration.
  • Strong background in coordinating across hardware, firmware, and software teams.
  • Experience in EMS manufacturing environments, procurement processes, and supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, JIRA, Confluence, and other project management tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills & Attributes

  • Understanding of verification & validation processes for hardware and software integration.
  • Experience in transitioning products from R&D to mass production.
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in embedded systems development.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
