Engineering management leads the multiple job families within the Engineering department to ensure organizational alignment with Torc’s larger focus of being the world’s leading autonomous trucking solution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Facilitate processes for the delivery of scalable and high-quality systems products for autonomous driving vehicles and support systems.
- Collaborates with other management and teams as needed to meet goals, monitor team performance, and achieve objectives.
- Responsible for understanding the software or system technical domain of their assigned team.
- Accountable and responsible for career development and coaching of the team.
- Accountable and responsible for performance management of their team.
- Accountable and responsible for ensuring continuous performance feedback is delivered and compensation analysis in close collaboration with peer managers and People Operations.
Director: Directs a department or manages a functional area that impacts the entire organization. Develops business plans and operational priorities to meet goals and objectives of the organization.
- Ability to be a strategic partner to the organization and identify & plan how to meet future needs of the organization.
- Expert knowledge and demonstrated leader of functional area or department. Acts as an advisor to leaders on relevant trends and emerging issues. Ability to effectively manage a team of managers and professionals and identify opportunities to grow and develop the team.
- Scope of Influence: Decisions impact an important technology product(s) or system(s). May be accountable for operating plan goals.
US Pay Range
$226,400 - $271,700 USD
