Meet the Team: 
Join a high-impact team at the intersection of autonomy, simulation, and cloud engineering. We’re looking for a seasoned simulation engineer with deep experience in game engine-based simulation platforms, autonomous vehicle systems, and cloud infrastructure. You’ll help lead and evolve the next generation of high-fidelity, scalable simulation systems that power the development, testing, and validation of autonomous driving software. 
  
What You’ll Do: 
  • Drive the technical strategy and solution architecture for large-scale, cloud-based and hybrid simulation environments using game engine technologies (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity). 
  • Develop and maintain realistic virtual environments, physics-based simulations, and dynamic scenario orchestration to emulate real-world AV scenarios. 
  • Architect and implement simulation execution frameworks that support robust testing of autonomy stacks, vehicle models, and perception systems. 
  • Design scalable, modular interfaces that allow engineering teams to define simulation workloads, collect data, and visualize metrics across development pipelines. 
  • Collaborate across cloud, autonomy, and software infrastructure teams to integrate tools, infrastructure, and telemetry for test coverage and performance monitoring. 
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers on simulation architecture, engine optimization, and compute cost efficiency. 
  • Maintain a service-oriented mindset with a focus on customer enablement and rapid iteration based on feedback from autonomy and systems validation teams. 
  • Evaluate external tools and vendors, conduct proof-of-concepts, and guide the selection of strategic simulation components.   
What You’ll Need to Succeed: 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Game Development, or related technical field. 
  • 7+ years of professional experience, including hands-on development with game engines (Unreal Engine preferred) and design of Entity-Component-System (ECS) architectures.  
  • Strong programming skills in Modern C++ and Python. 
  • Deep understanding of real-time systems, physics simulation, sensor simulation (LiDAR, radar, camera), and AV software-in-the-loop testing. 
  • Familiarity with performance tuning, multi-threaded applications, and cost optimization for high-scale compute environments. 
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across engineering disciplines.   
Bonus Points! 
  • Previous experience developing simulation frameworks for complex, multi-agent systems in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or related domains. 
  • Expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or hybrid), and orchestration frameworks (Kubernetes, Docker). 
  • Proficient in developing RESTful APIs 
  • Contributions to open-source simulation or AV-related software projects.
