JOB DESCRIPTION: TORC Robotics, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer based out of our U.S. worksite in Ann Arbor, Michigan. However, this is a purely telecommuting/work-from-home position whereby the employee may reside anywhere within the U.S. Job duties: Responsible for various software development and engineering activities supporting the delivery of autonomy algorithm software to the overall system solution within our autonomy software algorithms components. Perform software development activities such as software architecture, design, coding, unit testing, integration, deployment, and maintenance within their assigned autonomy algorithms software component. Develop, implement and test autonomy algorithms with the areas of active sensing and information fusion. Develop perception algorithms to detect and perceive objects for Torc’s autonomous driving systems, allowing the system to understand and react to the environment around the vehicle in real-time. Create software to utilize algorithms that use sensor data from LiDAR, RADAR, and cameras to detect, classify, segment, and detect, segment, classify, and track obstacles in the vehicle's surrounding environment. Create situational awareness for our behaviors and path planning teams to make vehicle decisions to navigate safety.
 
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and 5 Years of Relevant automotive software experience. Must have experience with: developing embedded real-time applications in C and C++ for ECU in vehicles; AUTOSAR, and configuration tools: Vector, Davinci Developer Configurator; build systems Bazel and Cmake; development of software in embedded Linux and ROS framework environment; Infineon Aurix Tricore microcontrollers, and debugging tool Lauterbach Trace32; in-vehicle networks and analysis tools: Vector Canalyzer, Canoe, and strong knowledge of UDS (ISO 14229) diagnostics; and safety critical systems with real time constraints and ISO26262.
