Sr Technical Product Owner
Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is hiring a Technical Product Owner (TPO) for its System Software Portfolio team based in Guadalajara, Mexico. This position is central to driving the strategy, prioritization, and delivery of Toshiba’s software components that enable retail systems to perform reliably, efficiently, and seamlessly across a wide variety of hardware configurations.
The TPO will own the roadmap and cross-functional execution for three key areas:
- Drivers and Utilities – A suite of POS drivers and utilities—including device communication drivers, hardware monitoring tools, firmware updaters, and configuration utilities—for seamless integration, maintenance, and performance optimization.
- UPOS/JavaPOS/JavaPOS for Android – Toshiba’s UnifiedPOS implementations, including JavaPOS for Windows, OPOS, and JavaPOS for Android, which provide standardized, OS-independent APIs for retail POS device integration across Windows, Linux, TCx Sky, and Android environments.
- Diagnostics – A diagnostics package that enables troubleshooting, firmware updates, and configuration of POS and Self-Checkout hardware, independent of the installed operating system.
This role demands strong product leadership, technical fluency, and disciplined execution within a portfolio-driven environment—ensuring all priorities align to the company’s long-term platform and strategy as defined by the TGCS PLMs and Portfolio team.
