Engagement Marketing Manager

Stamford, CT | Full-Time | Marketing

About TouchCare

Benefits are confusing, expensive, and easy to give up on. TouchCare makes it simpler. For more than a decade, we've given employees and their families a dedicated benefits concierge: real people, backed by smart technology, who resolve billing issues, coordinate care, and help members get the most from their employer-sponsored benefits. Today we support more than 1.4 million members, and we're profitable and growing.

About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on Engagement Marketing Manager to own the member lifecycle, from first awareness through onboarding, activation, and long-term retention. You'll build, scale, and optimize the programs that turn eligible employees into active TouchCare users, translating complex insurance and benefits concepts into clear, timely campaigns that drive action.

This role sits at the intersection of Marketing, Product, Data, and Client Success. You'll be the go-to expert on member engagement and play a foundational role in growing TouchCare's presence within our member community.

What You'll Do

  • Own TouchCare's member lifecycle marketing strategy across awareness, onboarding, activation, engagement, and retention, with clear KPIs for each stage.

  • Build and run multi-channel engagement programs across email, SMS, push, in-app, social, and emerging channels.

  • Design automated, triggered journeys that deliver personalized messages at key moments, such as preventive care timing, new-hire onboarding, plan changes, and moments of care.

  • Partner with the Data team to define member segments and build scalable audience strategies that improve targeting and relevance.

  • Lead member research, in partnership with Product Design, to uncover insights that shape messaging, content, and campaign strategy.

  • Use automation and AI tools to scale personalized campaigns across segments and client populations, partnering with Product and Engineering on the data and integrations that make it possible.

  • Run a disciplined testing roadmap (A/B and multivariate) across content, timing, and channel mix, and turn results into repeatable playbooks.

  • Measure campaign and funnel performance, report on activation, utilization, and retention, and deliver data-driven recommendations to leadership.

  • Partner with Product and Marketing leaders on go-to-market plans for new products and features launched to members.

  • Collaborate with Content Marketing on educational and seasonal member content (e.g., open enrollment, year-end benefits reminders) that drives awareness and repeat utilization.

  • Work with Client Success to tailor and co-brand engagement campaigns for employer clients and their benefits teams.

  • Establish lifecycle marketing best practices, governance, and operating standards, including HIPAA-conscious data use and messaging compliance (e.g., CAN-SPAM, TCPA).

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience developing and executing multi-channel lifecycle, CRM, or engagement marketing programs for a consumer or member audience.

  • 2+ years of experience in employee benefits, healthcare navigation, health tech, or HR tech, with a working understanding of employer-sponsored health plans and how employees engage with their benefits.

  • Hands-on expertise with marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo) and CRM integration (Vitality, Salesforce, HubSpot).

  • A proven track record of improving activation, engagement, or retention metrics through segmentation, personalization, and experimentation.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Domo, Tableau); comfortable building dashboards and turning data into action.

  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to make complex healthcare and insurance topics simple and compelling.

  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally and driving alignment across multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong project management skills, high standards for quality, and a strong sense of ownership.

  • A problem-solving mindset and comfort navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced, growing company.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience marketing a B2B2C product, where member engagement depends on employer and broker partners.

  • Familiarity with open enrollment cycles, broker channels, and employer benefits buying cycles.

  • Working knowledge of SQL or experience pulling data directly from a data warehouse.

  • Experience using generative AI tools to scale content creation and personalization.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $100,000–$125,000, based on experience, skills, qualifications, and alignment with the scope of the role.

Benefits

TouchCare offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, parental leave, and other company-sponsored benefits.

Location & Work Environment

This role is based at our Stamford, CT headquarters, with 5 days per week in the office. Candidates must live within commuting distance of Stamford.
