The Town of Snowmass Village is looking to hire a Digital Marketing Manager to join our Tourism Department!  

$1,000 sign-on bonus available! 

This is an in-person position with possibility of a hybrid schedule 

 

We are looking for a Digital Marketing Manager that will  be responsible for supporting the economic development of Snowmass Village through tourism.

 

Some of the day-to-day duties are listed below:  

  • Strategic leadership and management of digital marketing tactics to support the destination goals and marketing objectives, including website management, SEO/SEM, online advertising, and oversight of digital communications such as social media and email marketing,

  • Emphasis on strategic leadership and data analysis, including gathering data from various sources to provide detailed reporting to demonstrate performance of our websites, ad campaigns, booking engines, social media, email marketing and search engine optimization efforts.

  • Digital marketing tactics include, but are not limited to, search engine optimization, paid search marketing, email marketing, social media marketing and inbound marketing through content creation.

  • Follows industry trends and presents new opportunities for best practices in digital marketing for destination marketing organizations (DMOs). 

  • Manages all websites owned by the tourism department including GoSnowmass.com, SnowmassIceAge.com, BikeSnowmass.com and HikeSnowmass.com. Maintains full responsibility of these sites from creative design with adherence to brand guidelines to ensuring content accuracy. Ensures optimal search engine optimization and improves opportunities to increase traffic via authority signals like links generated by rich media / visual assets, social shares and likes, and additional authoritative signals like engagement.

  • Responsible for the oversight of an outside development agency including the functionality and optimization of the websites.

  • Generates detailed reports with analysis and refinement of marketing programs and websites based on overall performance and traffic statistics including changes to improve and evolve. 

  • Leverages social media to grow Snowmass Village's bottom line through increasing visibility and growing customer loyalty to the brand, with the support of a Digital Marketing Coordinator who is focused on developing and implementing engaging content. 

  • Provide strategic oversight of both paid and organic search engine marketing plans, which are directly managed by an agency. 

  • Use the optimal CRM tool and ensure optimal performance and segmentation of guest, stakeholder, sales, and prospect databases to ensure targeted, relevant email blasts and communications.

  • Creates and manages email marketing campaigns and other online communications with guests and stakeholders. 

 
 

 

 
The ideal candidate has the following qualifications/skills: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field to marketing and website development/management, and/or related degree or experience.   

  • 7+ years professional marketing experience managing websites, media plans and working with creative agencies (from client or agency side), independent designers and vendors.  5+ years of social media management experience within a business, brand, or agency setting, eg managing brand and business social pages including Facebook, Instagram etc. 

  • Be skilled in website management and UX including content management tools and systems, search engine optimization, pay-per-click and visual assets. Working knowledge of HTML and CSS preferred. 

  • Highly skilled with digital communities and social media including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and others, and stay on top of what’s next. 

  • Digital advertising planning experience preferred; working with third party qualifies. 

  • Able to multi-task, establish priorities based on department priorities and meet deadlines.  

  • Must have strong presentation skills. 

  • Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external staff, partners and stakeholders, as a representative of the Town of Snowmass Village. 

  • Must be able to provide guidance and management to the Digital Marketing Coordinator. 

  • Must be able to manage agency relationships and projects.  

  • Ability to communicate effectively and accurately, copywriting skills a plus. 

  • Experience with CRM/email systems, MailChimp preferred. 

  • Experience in social media strategy and measurement tools/platforms (eg. Meta Business Suite, Iconosquare) 

  • Basic understanding of web design in order to project manage third party developer. 

  • Solid understanding of web search platforms including Google and Bing; both paid and organic.
