
Facilities Superintendent
The Town of Snowmass Village is looking to hire a Facilities Superintendent to join our Facilities Division in the Public Works Department!
This is an in-person position
$1,000 sign-on bonus available!
We are looking a Facilities Superintendent that will plan, organize, budget, and take part in a variety of skilled maintenance, construction and management of a variety of buildings, building mechanics and all other types of mechanical systems; is responsible for the direct supervision of a crew of skilled and semi-skilled workers in the maintenance and upkeep of various Town sites.
Some of the day-to-day duties are listed below:
- Interviews, hires, manages, evaluates and develops facility maintenance and janitorial staff.
- Makes presentations to the public and Town Council, as required.
- Prioritizes and schedules work for Facilities Maintenance Division staff.
- Develops the budget for the Facilities Division.
- Maintains Facilities Maintenance management software, building automation software and utility tracking software.
- Manages purchase orders, bills, keeps records of building and employee costs.
- Prepares reports for Finance Department.
- Assists in the design, engineering, planning and the direction of subcontractors in development and expansion of existing Town owned facilities and sites; acts as Town’s representative in the design and construction of new Town facilities as it relates to Facilities Division.
- Prepares specifications and gathers quotes or bids for work.
- Submits documents for backflow prevention tests, boiler inspections and other building compliance measures.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with a variety of individuals.
The ideal candidate has the following qualifications/skills:
- Any combination of experience and training equivalent to graduation from high school and a minimum five years experience in building, mechanical, electrical and HVAC maintenance.
- A minimum of five years in a supervisory position including experience in supervising facility maintenance staff and overseeing large and small construction and development projects.
- Working knowledge of computers and programs including software such as BACnet BAS, Facilities Management software and Financial software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent phone skills and excellent verbal/written/email communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience of mechanical engineering and computerized building automation engineering
- Possesses a valid Colorado driver’s license
