Purchasing Specialist
C.E. Precision Assemblies, a Trexon Company, seeks a dedicated Purchasing Specialist for its Chandler, AZ location. This role offers opportunities for professional growth, and advancement within our dynamic organization. As a Purchasing Specialist, you will support the sourcing and purchasing of materials, supplies and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Weekly Schedule: Full Time, Monday – Friday flexible (7:00a-3:30p, 7:30a-4:00p or 8:00a-4:30p)
Pay: $44k - $55k
Specific Position Duties:
- Identify, evaluate and select suppliers based on cost, quality and delivery times while meeting customer requirements.
- Negotiate pricing with vendors.
- Request quotes and process purchase orders.
- Track and expedite deliveries to ensure on-time receipt of materials.
- Procure special tools/BOM items/Equipment as needed.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Update spreadsheets utilized for production status, production planning and material status.
- Interact with Receiving for parts delivery confirmations.
- Work with suppliers and vendors on missing documentation, RMA’s, etc.
- Miscellaneous projects/tasks as assigned.
Preferred Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year of procurement or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational abilities with keen attention to detail
- Excellent
- Proficient in using standard office software (e.g., MS Office suite) and comfortable with data entry and basic analysis.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
- Capable of working collaboratively within a team and contributing to a positive and cooperative work atmosphere.
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and tasks based on evolving operational needs.
- A “Do it Right the First Time” mentality.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods.
- Dexterity and Fine Motor Skills – the ability to effectively use hands and fingers for tasks like typing on a keyboard and using office equipment is crucial.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
