Sales Engineer – Box-Build Department
Location: Chandler, AZ
Job Type: Full-Time, Salary
Pay: $65k - $77k DOE (Dependent on Experience)
C.E. Precision Assemblies, a proud member of the Trexon family of companies, is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Sales Engineer to join our growing team in Chandler, Arizona. This position plays a key role in supporting our BoxBuild Department, focusing on quoting and selling complex electromechanical assemblies and wire harness solutions for high-reliability military and aerospace applications.
We’re looking for someone with a strong technical foundation in wire harness manufacturing and the ability to bridge engineering expertise with client-facing communication and sales strategy. Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and analyze customer prints, drawings, and technical requirements
- Provide accurate and timely quotes for complex assemblies, including wire harnesses and box builds
- Communicate technical product information clearly and persuasively to customers
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships
- Collaborate closely with internal engineering, production, and support teams to develop tailored solutions
- Create and present proposals, pricing, and technical documentation to clients
- Identify new business opportunities and assist in developing strategies to grow market share
- Track sales activities, meet established goals, and contribute to overall department success
- Understand industry competition and stay current on relevant technologies and trends
What You Bring:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of technical sales experience in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on knowledge of wire harness assembly and quoting processes is highly preferred
- Experience with RF/Microwave interconnects, cable assemblies, and mechanical/electromechanical box builds is a plus
- Strong blueprint and technical drawing interpretation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working both independently and in a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Willingness to travel occasionally as needed
