Position Summary
The Graduate Quality Engineer will support the Quality function by ensuring products and processes meet internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance. The role involves assisting with quality inspections, audits, process improvements, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position is ideal for a recent graduate seeking hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and development toward a professional engineering career.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or related field).
- Relevant quality certifications or coursework (e.g. Six Sigma, ISO 9001 awareness) are desirable but not essential.
Experience
- Recent graduate or up to 1 year of industrial experience in quality, manufacturing, or engineering.
- Internship or project experience in quality assurance, inspection, or process improvement is advantageous.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of quality principles, tools, and techniques (e.g. root cause analysis, 5S, statistical process control).
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and develop technical and professional skills.
Job Responsibilities
The Graduate Quality Engineer will support the Quality and Engineering teams across a range of activities, including testing, production verification, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the current testing workload:
- Support the testing program, including RF Signal sweeps and other technical measurements.
- Learn to interpret test results accurately, building technical competence over time.
- Checking and approving production first-offs:
- Review first-offs or key production stages to ensure compliance with Engineering drawings and Test Specifications.
- Competently read and interpret technical drawings and specifications (dual dimensioning: Imperial/Metric) including tolerances, notes, and standards.
- Completing tests and populating FAI Reports:
- Follow Test Specifications to complete testing accurately.
- Fill out Test Result Sheets and assist in the preparation of Test Reports in Technical English.
- Ensure reports are ready for final approval and submission.
- Training and assisting in production and internal audits:
- Participate in production and part internal audits under supervision.
- Understand quality from both a business and customer perspective.
- Contribute to process improvements and continuous learning within the company.
- Supporting the Engineering team in creating work instructions and setting guides:
- Report test findings to Production and provide feedback to improve processes.
- Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives by helping translate testing results into actionable improvements.
- Processing changes to work instructions:
- Assist with updating and controlling work instructions once changes are approved.
- Understand the importance of document control and adherence to quality processes.

Internal and External Relationships
