About the Role:

Observability Architects work closely with Trace3 sales teams to understand our customers’ business goals and provide them with technology solutions that help them realize those goals.  Responsibilities will include both pre-sale technology design, professional service estimation, as well as post-sale implementation services. Observability Architects also partner closely with delivery-focused Engineers to ensure the success of a sold solution and delivery of the expected outcome.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customers with observability strategy for tools to provide end-to-end visibility into IT Operations
    • IT Infrastructure Monitoring (ITIM): Monitoring solutions to track the performance and availability of servers, storage and network devices.
    • Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM): Monitor application performance and user experience to identify and respolve performance bottlenecks.
    • Digital Employee Experience (DEX): Solutions to assess and optimize the end-user experience across digital platforms.
    • Log Analytics: Log management and analytics solutions to collect, index, and analyze log data for troubleshooting and compliance.
    • Network Performance Monitoring (NPM): Solutions to monitor network traffic and performance to ensure optimal connectivity and detect network issues.
    • Change Detection: Solutions to detect and analyze changes in the IT environment, ensuring that changes do not negatively impact performance.
    • Event Management: Solutions to automate event correlation and management to prioritize and respond to critical incidents effectively.
    • IT Service Management (ITSM): Integrate observability tools with ITSM platforms to streamline incident, CMDB, and change management processes.
    • Automation: Automation solutions to reduce manual intervention, streamline workflows, and improve response times.
    • Visualization: Business intelligence and dashboard solutions that provide a unified view of IT operations, enabling quick identification of issues and trends.
    • Notification and Escalation: Solutions for automated notifications and escalation protocols to ensure timely response to critical incidents.
  • Lead pre-sales engagements as the observability subject matter expert (SME) to solve customer problems and translate customer requirements into deliverable services.
  • Design and implement blueprints for end-to-end observability architectures.
  • Provide consulting expertise on observability operational models and strategic roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technological capabilities.
  • Oversee the successful implementation of sold observability solutions by ensuring smooth transitions from design to delivery teams and maintaining client engagement to establish thought leadership for future opportunities.
  • Ensure high-quality observability solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and meet client satisfaction standards, stepping in as needed.
  • Communicate the value proposition of advanced observability solutions to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders, executive 'C' level management, VP and Director levels, and end-users.
  • Establish strong and lasting relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in client organizations to drive customer satisfaction and business growth.
  • Collaborate with Regional teams to develop sales playbooks, outlining strategies for introducing high-value observability solutions into strategic accounts.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic partner strategies and innovative observability services offerings that can be taken to market to enhance our competitive edge.
  • Enhance the organization's presence and brand in the Observability communities through active participation in industry events, thought leadership, and community engagements.

Qualifications & Interests:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or minimum of 10 years of experience in observability, or a related field.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to understand complex analytics requirements and to clearly communicate and demonstrate solutions.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong expertise in designing technology solutions for Fortune 500 companies and presenting them to the client from proposal to implementation
  • Must have a firm grasp on the industry and anticipate trends and movements while balancing maturity and timing
  • Motivated self-starter who loves to solve challenging problems and feels comfortable working directly with customers
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, excellent time management skills and able to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume, and evolving work environment
  • Comfortable managing multiple and changing priorities, and meeting deadlines

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.

Estimated Pay Range

$180,000 - $200,000 USD
