****This position is fully on-site (5 days per week) in Fort Belvoir, VA OR Warrenton, VA -- an Active TS/SCI is required; TS only will not meet requirements.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Enterprise Systems Architecture Engineer II responsibilities include improving the current IT infrastructure, optimizing business operations, and assisting with the direction and approach for integrating information applications and programs. The Enterprise Systems Architecture Engineer II is also responsible for cataloging, developing, coordinating, communicating, and maintaining overall enterprise architecture models, representations, initiatives, capabilities, and components to adequately perform the organization's business and technology activities.
To be successful as an Enterprise Systems Architecture Engineer II, you should have excellent technical, analytical, and project management skills. You should also have strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provide technical expertise in the modeling and analysis of military systems and their broader system-of-systems
- Conduct trade studies and comparative performance assessments of system and architecture alternatives to inform customer investment decisions/recommendations.
- Apply model-based system engineering (MBSE) to define system functions and develop functional and performance requirements.
- Apply model-based system engineering (MBSE) to develop architectural views using the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF/MODAF (UPDM)), Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), and Systems Modeling Language (SysML).
- Analyze MBSE models to derive mission threads and use cases to aid in system-level verification
- Create business architecture models to reflect the organization's strategies and
- Evaluate systems engineering, talent recruiting, and accounting models for discrepancies and
- Suggest ideas to reduce costs in IT and business
- Organize training to improve employees' knowledge and skills for future organizational
- Provide business architecture and systems processing
- Ensure efficiency, security, and support of the organization's
- Create methods for compliance architecture, such as data storage, metadata management, and change
- Develop deep expertise in the company’s IT product offerings, with a focus on effectively positioning them to meet customer requirements.
- Support the extended sales team with opportunity registration, quote generation, and follow-up throughout the sales cycle.
- Perform additional duties as needed, adapting to evolving market conditions and business priorities.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- System Engineering and/or Architecture & Design using Cameo
- Hands-on Experience in DoDAF, UAF, SysML and UML modeling, simulation, and analysis
· Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience using Cameo Enterprise Architect
- Rational Rhapsody, Sparx Enterprise Architect, or other comparable tools are helpful
- Proven experience in use of descriptive modeling for system engineering and/or architecture solutions (e.g., building models and diagrams with Cameo EA)
· Experience in Cameo and SysML applications required
- Excellent technical, analytical, and project management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good leadership and motivational skills
- Experience in modeling and graphic representations
EXPERIENCE: 5+ Years’ demonstrated System Engineering and/or Enterprise Architecture experience using Cameo & Model Based System Engineer
EDUCATION: Technical BA/BS (Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Physics) or equivalent preferred but not required
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance REQUIRED – TS only will not meet security requirements
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the standard duties of this job, the ability to communicate effectively in person, over the telephone or by email, depending upon the nature of the task you are performing, is essential to fulfilling the duties of this position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
If working at a Trace3 office, the employee is frequently surrounded by other employees and their conversations on the telephone and in person. The noise level and indoor office temperature may vary.
Estimated Pay Range
$100,000 - $130,000 USD
