JOB SUMMARY:
The candidate will be responsible for software development in the Java language, performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support. Designs, codes, maintains, debugs and configures enterprise software applications and products. Works from specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications. Assists with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs. Interfaces with other system support groups to resolve problems, setting standards and improving overall efficiency of the operating system.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Full Stack experience
- Command and control system application development
- Automated test and pipeline development experience
- Test driven development
- Experience developing software for Windows platforms is desired
- Experience with Software Integration testing including developing automated test scrips
- Strong problem solving skills, including the ability to review performance issues, identify root cause, recommend and develop a solution
- Experience with Risk Management Framework/STIG/Fortify/SonarQube mitigation
- Knowledge of server side/database development and computer system administration
- The successful candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to work independently and will possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment.
- Applicant should have good working knowledge of MS Office products.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Experience developing enterprise applications using Java
- Familiarity with Java foundation classes and toolkits.
- Experience developing software for Unix/Linux required
- Experience working as part of an Agile team; understanding of Agile methodology
- Security+ or equivalent required within 60 days of start
- Use of common software development and management tools such as git, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence, maven/Gradle and Eclipse
- Understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts such as Use Cases and SysML diagrams
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or related field from an accredited college.
LOCATION: Full Time/ On-Site in Colorado Springs, CO
CLEARANCE REQUIRMENT: Secret Required
DOD 8570 REQUIREMENT: IAT - Level II Required within 60 days of start
SALARY RANGE: $100,000 - $122,000
Estimated Pay Range
$100,000 - $122,000 USD
